Wonderful wildlife sanctuary where you can go on a pangolin walk. Pangolins are such fascinating creatures, and almost impossible to spot in the bush. I loved seeing the different raptors/vultures that were there too. Maria Diekmann and the staff of REST do amazing work. See more..

A unique opportunity to experience conservation in action! CCF is the global leader in cheetah research, conservation, and education. Its Centre, 44 km east of Otjiwarongo, is open to the public all year round (8 am - 5 pm) except Christmas. CCF works to keep cheetahs in the wild and educate the public. However, it provides sanctuary to injured or orphaned cheetahs, many of which cannot be released back into the wild. Learn about the cheetah's plight, watch them being fed or exercised at high speeds, meet some of our scientists. Our Model Farm teaches farmers how to co-exist with predators. Visitors can meet some of CCF's Livestock Guarding Dogs and their flocks of sheep and goats. You can also try our home-made goat-milk cheese, ice cream or fudge at the Cheetah Cafe. Cheetah View Lodge and Babson House luxury accommodations available and an educational campsite for school groups available. See more..

    Mahango Game Reserve image
We love this small park and have visited it three times now. It is very easy to drive around and can easily be visited in half a day. Excellent for bird watching along the riverside and you can also see hippos, buffalos and crocodiles which are not present in Etosha NP. It is also one of the few places that you can see Roan and Sable antelope. Not to be missed when visiting the Caprivi/Zambezi Region. See more..

We enjoyed two leopard-tracking trips and a cheetah viewing with Martin, head guide, and they were brilliant. Tracking the leopards and seeing other creatures was exciting and educational and Martin explained everything so clearly. Accommodation and food were high quality. A must see! See more..

The Living Museum of the Ju/'Hoansi-San gives visitors an interesting insight into the life of the friendly San. The Living Museum is an authentic open-air museum where guests can learn a lot about the traditional culture and the original way of living of the San. The Ju/'Hoansi bushmen demonstrate and describe everything with great dedication and the guide translates into english. Almost every offered programm is interactive, because it is also great fun for the Ju/'Hoansi when the visitors try to shoot an arrow, experience the special Ju/'Hoansi rope skipping or try to sing a an original song. 9. 4.5 Mundulea Nature Reserve (20 reviews)
    - Not a quick safari, but a nature experience.
    Nature & Wildlife Areas
    Mundulea Nature Reserve image
This reserve is a private reserve. The dream of one man seeking to restore the beautiful species of his homeland - Namibia. You will likely be the only guests, so you have a sophisticated bush camp to yourself. Complete with warm showers, tents, kitchen and large communal area with a fire. Its not luxurious, but it is comfortable and serves to enhance your 'bush' experience. Even at night with animals approaching into the camp and bushbabies jumping on your tent. Contrary to a typical safari, you will spend most of your time walking. Bruno, the owner and guide is renowned as one of the best in Africa, and his vast knowledge of all things Africa; Nature, Politics, Geology etc... Will amaze you. Pause to marvel at the smaller, but equally important organisms, but dont expect to follow large predators in the hunt. Larger animals such as Rhino, Antelope or Leopards are spotted however, and being on foot makes these encounters even more special. To sum up: you will be enlightened and amazed by the true workings of the African bush, but dont expect a luxurious jeep ride with blankets. See more..

  12. 4.0 Little Hunter´s Museum (1 review)
    - Ein noch nicht so bekanntes Dorf vom Living Museum
Friday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Cultural Tours • Historical & Heritage Tours
Hier kommt man schon "back to the roots". See more..

  14. 3.5 Gross Barmen Hot Springs (94 reviews)
    - Transformed location
    Thermal Spas
    Gross Barmen Hot Springs image
A great family day out with clean and well maintained hot springs alongside a crystal clear outdoor pool. The staff were super friendly and the resort was very clean. We ordered food from the kiosk which took almost an hour to be made and then I went to collect it myself from the restaurant as the kiosk staff member was so busy with other customers. One thing I would mention, there needs to be some policy on dress code for the pools. We watched young people ( teenagers) swim in their underwear and a girl swimming with no top despite being clearly physically mature in her development. See more..
  15. 3.5 Okahandja Mbangura Woodcarvers Craft Market (33 reviews)
    - Good place to bye souvenir

Okahandja Mbangura Woodcarvers Craft Market image
This market place locates opposite site of gas station, southern entrance to the city of Okahandja, close to B1. There are almost everything which can be made of wood. Excellent place to have souvenir from Namibia and lots of cheaper than in real shops, but you need to bargain. Start at least half of the price. See more..
  16. 3.5 Dinosaur Tracks - National Monument NAMIBIA (14 reviews)
    - Most difficult review to rate ever
Spent 2-3 hours Points of Interest & Landmarks • Historic Walking Areas
Dinosaur Tracks - National Monument NAMIBIA image
We drove the 58km round trip (29km each way from the C34) on our way from Omaruru to Otjiworongo. Like others who have reviewed, we found the reception a bit weird. The lady spoke to us over a locked gate and handed us a few bits of paper and some rough directions. We went down to the campsite and on to the big tracks. I thought they were quite impressive. The little ones were ok, but (obviously) not as big or well defined. It was definately worth doing, but merits 30 minutes (tops) so you have to ask yourself, is the one hour drive there and back worth it? It was for us, however I cannot understand why anyone would stay at the farm, unless they are arriving late and want to see the tracks before continuing on their way. See more..
  17. 2.5 Mangetti National Park (5 reviews)
    - Not worth the visit
National Parks • Nature & Wildlife Areas
This park was our first (and only) disappointment after over 3 weeks in Namibia. We were given a park map that did not appear to match the park roads. This problem could be fixed easily by having some signs on the roads guiding the visitors to the water holes (and exit) and by having a sign at the water hole to help the visitors know where they are on a map. The park roads were narrow, with deep sand in places. I do not think this park is worth visiting. See more..
