  1. 5.0 Twyfelfontein Elephant Drives (4 reviews)

What an experience! Having never done a trip like this before the elephant drive blew me away. Our guide, Harold, was fantastic. From the minute we got into the vehicle he shared his extensive knowledge about the wildlife and scenery we drove past. He explained how to track them and how to tell from their droppings, how long ago they had travelled through the area. The search was exciting and fun and Harold's love, enthusiasm for and understanding of wildlife was a joy. When we found the herd I wasn't prepared for how close we would be or how emotional I would feel. I have fantastic photos and footage of these magnificent beasts but just as important, I have memories to last a lifetime. See more..
  2. 5.0 Divorce Pass (2 reviews)
    - "Exciting"
Spent More than 3 hours Off-Road & ATV Trails
    Divorce Pass image
To get from Twijfelfontein area to Ugab Rhino Camp you can choose for 2 different tracks to get pass the Doros Crater. One of them is the Divorce pass. If you are in for some excitement without getting dangerous you can choose to drive this route. You will pass rock slides, steep climbs and descends. Track can get very rocky so going slow. 4x4 with high clearance is really nescesary Take your time, lower the tire pressure and you will be fine, rewarded with stunning views and exellent picture locations. Well worth spending and hour or more here especially if you are staying at Camp Kipwe as it is barely 4km away. We did the traditional village life and bushwalk package. Thoroughly enjoyed the singing and dancing too ... even a rendition if happy birthday by two lovely ladies when they heard it was my birthday....thank you everyone See more..

Our guide was Patricia. She really was super. As we walked, Patricia not only answered our questions but also asked her own. We felt very comfortable with this friendly and knowledgeable person as we walked up the valley to see the famous painting. Patricia also explained about how guides are trained in Namibia and the stringent tests to be passed before a guide can be certified and allowed to go to work. Patricia also answered truthfully when she did not know the answer- very good to not be conversing with someone desperate only to tell the visitor what they want to hear (or some other fabrication). Well worth the visit and well worth talking to the guides. See more..
