A very different show of how these people used to live
We went there and stayed for one night camping. There is an area that has all the local made jewelry, bows and arrows, etc for sale. We were taken to the bush mans camp area where we meet several of the locals. The men told us some of their history and showed us how to make a box and arrow. and then how to use them. The women were sitting making jewelry for sale. It was great to see but it was also sad as this was a performance not how they now lived and hunted. The old ways are gone. It is a great place to visit and the money all goes into the community to keep them going.

A glimpse at a dying culture
We did the bush walk with a San guide and the village medicine man. The medicine man was a hoot, so animated while showing us how to find water in the bush, and explaining certain medicinal uses for plants. He only spoke the San language and our San guide interpreted. After the walk, we met others from the village while they sang and danced. Amazing visit.
