    Crocodile Farm image
Iam a crocodile lover so went to this place late afternoon and ig took approximately 30mins from Miri town. Very few people during my visit and there wasn't any crocs show available. The park earn additional income by charging visitor's buying nuts, bananas for monkey, taking pics with baby crocs, albino snake and feeding crocs. There is a Arapaima Gigas being reared in the lake but absolute invisible due to large pond and dark view. The state government could improve on upgrading the park by getting someone expertise in the field. See more..

    - Be prepared to sweat it out. Good exercise for active kids. Recommended worthwhile visit.
    Gardens
    Taman Tumbina image
Surprisingly it was free entrance. I would recommend this place to families with kids. The main attraction for my kids was the tiger but the lion statue on top of the enclosure is very misleading. Should have replaced it with a tiger statue. The path going up to the enclosure needs to be cemented as it's slippery. Need more toilets. Lack of signage to show where the animals were. Should have more animals such as monkeys, monitor lizards, bats, can even add some farm animals to make it more interesting. Can also add a mini museum/gallery for educational purpose. It's a very good visit tho'. Hope that the management will keep up the good work. Thumbs up to their effort. See more..

Taman Bukit Aup Jubilee Park image
The park is one of the most unique place in Sibu; because Sibu town in normally flat due to the geographical location. Located at the outskirt of the town, around 15-20 ride; buses do pass-by this area, but not recommended as the service is very inconsistent. The first thing you'll see once entering the park is the pond. Plenty of fish are in it waiting for you to feed them (fish food can be bought at the canteen there). And if you are lucky, you can find some tortoises in it too. The highlight of the park is the hike to the top for a view of the surrounding. At the bottom of the park, there is a playground and some basic fitness amenities for young and old. In overall, it's an ideal place for an evening walk along with family, friend or solo. See more..

    - A swan city
    Gardens
    Lin's Swan Garden image
The statue of the swan here is smaller in size than that at the waterfront. There should be one as big as that at the waterfront and nicer design. The color is a bit of plain; the one at the water front looks more colorful. The Garden is within walking distance from Tahamas Hotel and also a Kompia shop nearby. You can buy some kompia to eat at the garden bu it is a bit hot in the afternoon. Nothing spectacular and the statue looks dull on a cloudy day. See more..

    Loagan Bunut National Park image
We booked a trip to Loagan Bunut with Mutiara Homestay Resort. A day before the trip, we were informed the water level was low (2 ft) & were given a choice to proceed or cancel the trip. We proceed with low expectation, well no lake tour. The journey fr Miri took 2 hrs. The road conditions is good except for early part due to a hiway construction. We were greeted by our host, Mr Roland, who took us to his homestay via a boat. Despite low water level, the boat ride from PHQ to the resort was smooth with an awesome views. The homestay is beautiful, unique & very clean. The views of sunrise & sunset from the homestay were beyond words. As there’s no lake tour, we spent our time taking pics, chatting with our friendly hosts (Mr Roland & Mdm Doreen), cooking our dinner & breakfast. We made a good decision to visit the lake when the water is low as it offers a different scenic view. Overall the trip was above our expectations. Will go again when the water level is high. 1 Malaysia Culture Village image
So we didn't know what to expect when we wondered across the road to this place, it was very quiet, but some retairan to staff having their afternoon meal were very friendly. Honestly though if you come here you have to walk past the restaurants and check out the bird cage!!! These black and yellow birds are shy to begin with but soon start talking and they are so funny!! They said things in English, Malay and Chinese and when we laughed at them, one of them mockingly copied our laugh!! So cool!! So if you are already at the jubilee park across the road pop in, at least for the birds! See more..

Rate : 4 for Service I stopped to eat at the Food court with my brother. I am very upset with this service. My brother ordered a coconut water drink and when it arrived at our dining table, the coconut water broke and we asked for it to be replaced but the workers there only gave us plastic glass. The water in the coconut was running out. I hope things like this don't happen again. The customer should come first. The food we ordered, steamed chicken rice, was very satisfying. See more..

Permai Lake Garden is the second green lung of Sibu after Bukit Lima Forest Reserve, and Sibu is the only town in Sarawak to have two such environment-friendly features incorporated in its town planning. Also, It is home to many species of birds, mammals and plants. It is a living laboratory for researchers studying tropical rainforest flora and fauna, and a favourite spot for morning walks and jogging. The garden has incorporated a ‘Lakeside Corridor’ concept into it that includes a building with a conical roof representing the Melanau traditional craft – the Terendak. Next to it is the Lakeside Corridor restaurant, with the dining area facing the lake. It covers 11 acres with 33 car parks, a jogging track, motorcycle parking bays, gazebo, children’s playground, sitting area and others.
