Mixed feelings
This museum gives you a nice overview on the history of the oil exploration over the years in Miri. The museum opened in 2005,interesting but on the same time it’s really not maintained, several screens are not working. Grab from city centre to museum RM7 Museum entrance FREE

First place Must Visit when arrive at Miri!!
when search about Miri..what 1st can do..go to grand old lady bcoz have 3 attaraction place!!1st the Grand Old Lady its self!!2nd The petroleum Meseum and 3rd canada Hill to see Miri view!!

A bit miserable and neglected
If you are a ‘museum person’, go and spend half an hour getting to know the history of Malaysia oil industry is fine. Otherwise, not worth a special trip. Since opened in 2005, I don’t think it has ever been updated. No interactive tools worked. Most of the display boards were faded. 2 stars rated - one for the knowledge I learned there and 1 for the grand old lady.
