   I am still surprised that this place has no advertisements at all. I found it to be the highlight of my tour/trip to Xi'an (it was actually an addition to my tour of visiting the terra-cotta warriors and the city wall of Xi'an). Being fairly close to the airport made it easy to access before my return flight to Beijing. My tour guide and me arrived right before closing and had the whole museum to ourselves. When I first entered the underground museum I was just in awe. Right under my feet were gazillions of small statues - I kneeled down to take pictures through the glass floor. The detail of each small statue was just mind blowing and it raised the question of how long were people working on creating and recreating those pieces of art.    This traditional iron melting show is very popular and you shouldnt miss it if you are visiting the town of Nuanquan. We travelled by car and had a little difficulties to find the place as we were following the GPS directions which were wrong. ( But we werent alone, because there were also many cars with Beijng plate numbers that got lost and couldnt find it). I would recommend to place big signs for the tourists. The show starts at 7 pm an lasts about 50 mins. You will see the Iron melting show- that looks like fireworks - some few hundred years old tradition for which this town is famous. The ticket can be bought either from the ticket booth for 160 rmb or, if you get lucky, some people can be selling it in front of the entrance for 100 rmb. See more..

    白云洞是临城旅游景点中排名第一的景点，目前已经非常成熟，周末的时候游客比较多。从临城县城汽车站可以乘坐去往赵庄的客车，到崆山白云洞景区门口下车即到。景区距离县城只有六七公里，乘坐出租车或者自驾车都很方便。崆山白云洞和天台山两个景点联票120元，景区门口有免费的大巴车往返于两个景点之间，适合一日游。
    崆山白云洞是北方比较少见的溶洞，面积很大，分为五个洞厅，洞内光线不是很好，但是游览通道都有栏杆围了起来，有的路段比较湿滑，特别要注意安全。洞内有溶洞常见的石笋，石钟乳等景观，也有别的溶洞不太常见的石幔，石葡萄等，溶洞的景观非常齐全，而且是同纬度全球最大的溶洞，值得一看。景区门口的餐厅可以吃10元一人的大锅菜，价格不贵，赞一个。整个溶洞内常年保持17度的温度，游览一圈需要一个多小时。 See more..

    从太原出发，三个多小时的车程。到真武山庄时，本该贵如油的春雨，正一点儿不吝啬地往下洒，让穿着夏装从城市里赶来的我们，实在没有办法在这冬天般的气温里生出喜悦。
    爬山这天，雨已停，但清早的山风并不比前一天的雨客气。团队里的小伙子们一边盘算着一千多级台阶需要多久爬完，一边意气风发地消失在了越来越陡的石阶之后。我带着又好奇又挑剔的眼光一步步往上挪，一会儿觉得石头太新，一会儿又觉得天不够蓝。
    第一个跳出来拯救我的不开心的，是绿树丛中的一抹淡粉。和城市里已经涂靡的各种层次的粉色比起来，这抹粉淡得像是打印机就要没墨了。在认出这是桃花的那刻，脑子里自然地跳出了白居易那句著名的“人间四月芳菲尽，山寺桃花始盛开。“此时，头顶的云开始以又大又多变的形态飘过，天空的底色也开始由灰转篮。好胜心与好奇心被同时激起，想知道自己是否去得了山顶，想瞅瞅高处的云是否更值得一看。
    每次都以为登顶每次都发现然而并没有，两三次之后，决定放弃揣测山顶的确切位置。发现头顶有一团硕大的云特别像中国地图，等举起手机找好角度，形状已经变了。轻叹一声，左前方传来高大松林被山风吹动时的响声，像吟诵，分贝刚刚好，屏息静听能顺便听到自己的心跳声。环顾四周，出发时一起的20多个小伙伴，现在只剩下了身边的三个人。有人忙着和白云合影，有人朝着层层的群山放声喊去。置身于此，人似乎变得格外放松与自如，甚至不太分辨得出这放声一喊到底是对大山的问候，还是想把城市生活中积攒下来的委屈就此留下。
    真到了山顶，反倒没有了征服后的喜悦。光是头顶的云，每走一步，看起来都那么不同。景色，哪里是用来占有的。在凝结着天地灵气的山面前，即便我最后见到了山顶的风光，也确知没有见到的一定比见到的多很多。想明白这点，整个人反倒放松下来，那是一种“只为途中与你相见“的单纯。
    下山途中，访客逐渐增多。有一头银发跟家人向山顶走去的老奶奶，有背着水泥做的垃圾筒往山顶送途中歇脚的大叔，还有出发时一起、中途失散的小伙伴们。山路就那么一条，每个人看到的风景必不相同，喊给大山听的也必不同。重要的是，在这个被听见的过程里，人发现了自己的真实与渺小。
    声音是灵魂的重要器官。北武当山景区的宣传语是“问道北武当”，没去之前我以为会有很多道教内容的宣讲，现在知道，这句话的重点是“问”。置身在那样的环境里，是一次难得的面对自己的机会，面对真实的自己真实的人生，会问且敢问的人，自然会求得所谓“道”，听见自己的声音。而不是，用最大的努力去做一些根本不适合自己的事，只因身边的人都说那是好的。 See more..

    The Great Wall at Dongjiakou is not for everyone. There is an initial one to two mile hike, sometimes steep to reach the wall. Those with difficulty walking will only be able to view it from the bottom. This section of the Great Wall is about 50 kilometers from the town of Qinhuangdao. You will need an in the know Chinese driver and or guide to find this location. Whether it is worth it to you to take an entire day or two to walk on a rugged and only sparsely restored part of the Wall is a personal decision you must make. For me and the few friends who accompanied me, this was a GREAT side trip to an area we know is authentic and original. We loved it. The hike in and climb to the wall can be done at a leisurely pace, so those who are a bit older, but able to walk and step up about 8 to 12" at a time will be able to make the climb. Take some snacks and water along. Not many places to eat, but as always your guide will be able to find some kind of restaurant in town, you just might not want to eat there. Again this depends on how adventurous you are in your eating habits. If you are picky or fastidious be sure and bring lots of snacks along with you. Enjoy! See more..
