    These tunnels were built during the Sino-Japan War by local farmers, for Chinese soldiers to hide & "live" in during that war. They're pretty much as they were back then, albeit with an arrow on the wall here and there to keep you heading in the right direction. If you're really tall, unsteady on your feet, or have a bad back, you might want to rethink a visit there - the ceilings are (mostly) low of course, and you spend some of the time bent low to avoid hitting your head. The museum up top is cleverly done and really tells the story well. My local Chinese friends and I were impressed. Took us a while to find the entrance we used, but worth persevering. In the street outside, there's the ever present street market selling war style souvenirs, including swords etc! You can also have your photo taken cheaply on the old war motorcycle &/or the jeep beside it. Great souvenir and a bit of fun after the sombre mood of the museum. All well worth the visit, in my opinion. See more..
