This is a major receration and ecologicalparkland in Tangshan. It is one of the largest artifical lakes in Asia, formed in part by flooded coalmines. It is well worth a visit if you like peaceful walks and plants. Many local people go there and are friendly to foreigners. It is too big to walk around, so exploring small parts on foot, or using bicycles may be options. South Lake Park is actually several lakes, and a main road seperating the main parts. There is a hill in the south of the northern part, worth a climb for the view. See more..

We visited this with my young son (18 months old) on a cloudy day in September 2015. The aquarium itself is an average size with a decent collection of fresh & salt water fish, turtles and seals. Many of the informational panels about the fish are in English & Chinese, making it easier to figure out what type of fish you are looking at. We paid 100RMB per person to get access to both this attraction plus the 'Dolphin Show' which is across the parking lot. Overall it is a basic aquarium and worth a visit if you have small kids. This attraction is made for kids-6-12 years old. May not be safe for younger kids and older kids will think it's juvenile. The park has lots of interesting things to see-a long slide, swings, water games, etc. the house is mostly stuff like windows set sideways, mirrors, strange passageways, etc. Worth a trip if you are already in Qinhunagdao. Cost is 25Y in season. There is a very interesting Russian church next door. Not a good place for wheelchairs or strollers. See more..

On the eastern side of the hill among among trails and rock mounds there is a large artifical log, and a kisok. Here, during normal hours you can enter a sort of bunker complex for 10 yuan. Perhaps built in the Cold War, they now contain traditional Chinese lanterns in rooms that will light up when you enter. Must have been a lot of work to build! See more..

Highly recommended! ¥45 entry fee for us students to climb. 2 or 3 hours to get to the top. Take warm cloths, water and food for the top. ¥40 to ride gondola (not sure it this is just for students). The mountain and landscape of the mountain is amazing. The high pillars of rocks, steep sharp cliffs and valleys really make it 'China like', at one point I even compared it to the movie Avartar. I don't want to blow expectations out of the water but it was really beautiful. These pictures here don't show it justus. A highlight for many was the 'glass sky walk' which is literally built on the side of a huge cliff. It was quite cloudy the day I went but it was still worth it. I feel not many Chinese know about the beauty of this mountain. I'd go as far to say it's the most beautiful mountains I've climbed. The cliff walks make it all the better. See more..

This is a lovely bit of greenery in Baoding. Although not near the city center, it is easily accessible by bus (52 from closer to city center). It is great for families with small children, couples, or solo travelers. The gardens are divided into different sections, some of which include the maple tree garden, the autumn garden, the rose garden, etc. Push pedal carts are available for rent, as well as electric scooters, but this is the perfect place to walk around, either on the paved roads, or the walking paths. As mentioned in other reviews, there is an amusement park area north of the gardens. See more..

Newly opened after recent renovations, Jingxiu Park is a lovely green space in the midst of busy Baoding. The park is conveniently located just across from the Wanbo/Vanbo shopping center. It is easily accessible by public bus. (Currently the 25, 29, 30, 35, and 60 stop there, plus several others.) There is no fee for admission. There are a number of water features, numerous walking paths, benches, public toilets, and scenic hills topped by pagodas. In March, the lake was still not refilled, and many of the trees only starting to bloom, but it is nevertheless a delightful place on a clear day. Many people of all ages enjoy the park, from families with small children to older people practicing various forms of exercise. See more..

I never forget to go to this park when I am in Langfang. You can find here busy attractions for children as well as quiet places to walk and relax. There is a lake in the center of the park, where you can rent a boat or just watch them from the trails around. If you are interested in a history I recommend to visit calligraphy museum located in the corner of the park. It is well maintained and very interesting. The only black point in this beautiful park is its Monkey island with the small ZOO. Animals are kept in a bad condition and it for sure need a lot of improvement. See more..

Quite simply this has to be a "must see" on anyone's bucket list. The glass bridge, glass sky walk and specially constructed mountain pathway system has to be seen to be believed. Kailuan Mine Park was the first coal mine to be built in China. We had a english translator that took us firstly through the museum and then underground to a mining area where we could view the tools and structures they used throughout different times. We had to wear hard hats when we went underground also and caught a miners train back to ground level. A unique experience. Recommend more then the Tangshan Museum - it tells you more about the 1976 earthquake. See more..

去大茂山可以考虑从唐县县城乘坐早上10点多（将近11点）的班车（每天3班）到大茂山林场（到那一般已经下午15点多了），而且班车是当地人，不一定到林场就不走了，或者坐车到军城，然后打车到大茂山林场，费用100元左右。晚上可以在附近转转，有住宿的地方。第二天从大金岭遗迹的出发点沿比较宽的路向西出发，后段路直接向建筑走，上神仙山顶峰（大茂山顶峰），最好从炭灰铺下山，就是上去后西南方向的沟里直接下去，基本沿电线杆直着向下，到山脚后有大概20里地的峡谷道路，已经人为修的比较好了，然后可以到三眼井村和炭灰铺村，中午12：30从炭灰铺有到阜平的班车。因为比较偏，所以多问问吧，有些班车不是很正式，所以需要多问当地人。爬山时间最好6点出发，这样大概12点能到炭灰铺。 See more..
