4.5Montagne de Bueren(1.455 reviews) - Must see in Liege Points of Interest & Landmarks
For sure a must see in Liege, it is strange to classify stairs as a touristic attraction but this is the best you are getting in Liege. It is worth it going upstairs, it is not that exhausting if you take some breaks to take pictures. There were many people doing fitness there as I was there so it was quite funny and interesting. Some tourists but not many. Liege is not a touristic city.See more..
4.0Grand Place(1.116 reviews) - Not at its best for the moment Points of Interest & Landmarks
Spending a week-end in Mons to visit an exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts (BAM) we didn’t have much time to visit other sites. But of course, we headed for the cobbled Grand Place. As architecture lovers we were quite disappointed because the most interesting building, the City Hall, was clad in scaffolding and the façade was completely hidden. We also missed information boards on the major buildings. On a sunny day, the Grand Place, which is lined with cafés and restaurants with large outdoor seating areas, was very busy and rather loud. There were lots of kids playing in the water jets fountain or climbing the huge ‘I love Mons’ letters. A fitness centre had installed a large number of exercise bikes in front of the city hall and, in the evening, there was Latin dancing.See more..
4.0Charles-de-Gaulle Bridge(666 reviews) - A tribute to the inventor of the Sax Points of Interest & Landmarks • Bridges
Adolphe Sax, native of Dinant and inventor of the homonymous instrument, is paid homage through different installations: different Saxes, dedicated to different nations. In fact, the bridge is named after Charles de Gaulle, who suffered a wound on this bridge. Definitely a very nice way to access the city.See more..
Absolutely stunning! This church really stands out for its beauty and rich history, as soon as you lay eyes upon it, it seduces you and demands your attention. Inside it’s even more outstanding! I’d love to go up to the balconies and see the view from there. The stained glass is very impressive and really, it’s hard for pictures to do it justice. Well worth the trip and it’s right across the river from the train station so it’s very accessible.See more..

4.5Musée de la Ferme d'Hougoumont(51 reviews) - The epicentre of the Battle of Waterloo Wednesday: Spent < 1 hour Points of Interest & Landmarks
This historic farmhouse, the last authentic witness to the battle on 18 June 1815, accommodates a pioneering multimedia installation that tells the story of the “battle within the battle”. The show combines innovation with respect for memory. Hougoumont Farm was the scene of fierce and deadly fighting. It is located in a forward position that protected the Allies’ right flank, and was where Napoleon’s brother sparked off the battle. What was only supposed to be a diversionary manoeuvre at first became the most violent point of the battle. Throughout the day, the French assaults here were furious but in vain. The main building was burned to the ground. The house we see today is in fact the former gardener’s cottage.See more..
