    Enjoyable visit
We visited the boat lift but did not take the excursion. The staff were very helpful, particularly as I doubt they get many English speaking visitors. We visited at a quiet time, so they put the English version of the film on for us. Quite impressed by the work involved in its construction. On leaving. the boat lift was in operation. Perhaps this is best suited to mature visitors, not children, as even when the lift is working it is a slow and quiet process. Impressive. I would go back and next time take the excursion. On Sundays it involves this lift, on other days it is one of the other three boat lifts nearby.

    Perfect guide, interesting movie
The guide gave clear explanations in English, French, Dutch and even proposed German. The movie explained a bit more info about the construction project. No new information, but it sure helped a better understanding. Especially with the maps showing how the Scheldt and Maas got connected. The spectacle puts Belgium and it's national heroes in the picture but has nothing to do with the lift. It is acute interesting though.
