I’d love to hear a story of someone failing to see this marvelous plaza in the beating heart of Valencia—since I think such stories would seldom be told. It’s very difficult to miss this gorgeous area. Flanked by the stunning Valencia Cathedral to the south and pristine residential districts and parks to the north, the Virgin Plaza is the community space that marries all of the city’s wonderful sides together into one. I spent about an hour people-watching, snapping photos and selfies, and enjoying live local music from skilled street performers. I wish I had time to stay longer. It’s safe, sparkly clean, and well worth your time. Enjoy! See more..

The balcony still has its beauty and charm. It was excavated last year as it was supposed to be hiding some secret ruins but none of any significance were found. So there are glass viewing plates which are safe to stand on and you can see clay and sandstone 9ft deep but apart from that it's just as it was with every blue and white tile back to it's original glory. It was to hot to give this area a visit in the summer but having visited at New Year we were able to fully appreciate the old town. Stunning views and very old Spanish houses to admire. Only 5 minutes from the city centre. Would recommend. See more..

Whilst in Peniscola we went up to the Benicarlo market which (when we went was on Wendnesdays). The market itself was quite busy with many different types of stalls. I was mainly interested in the indoor food market. It was great to see all the different varieties of fish, meats, cheeses and olives which were being sold. If you are in the area on market day then head down and have a look round. See more..

So beautiful, definitely spend some time wandering around the streets located inside the fortress. Old white houses with details in blue or yellow. Very beautiful! To have an accomodation there must be a bit complicated because of the stone cobbled streets but to walk around without luggage is fine. Loved it. See more..
