So beautiful, definitely spend some time wandering around the streets located inside the fortress. Old white houses with details in blue or yellow. Very beautiful! To have an accomodation there must be a bit complicated because of the stone cobbled streets but to walk around without luggage is fine. Loved it.

Very nice old town
Casco Antiguo is literally the old town of Peñíscola, a Medieval coastal town located in the North of Castellón Region. This old town has some places to visit like the castle, the gardens of the castle or some gates. Also, here there are a lot of bars and restaurants and shops to buy some souvenirs. Very nice place to walk, relax and see the beautiful facades of buildings. The best one the Castle. A maze of interesting, narrow streets to explore
The Casco Antiguo is the old part of Peniscola, and it has a maze of narrow, twisting streets steeply uphill with tourist stores and cafes lining the way up to the Templar castle at the top. This area just wreaks of history and if one can ignore the tourist shops, one can feel transported back in time. There are lots of restaurants nearby where one can get a touristy lunch or dinner, but heck, the essence of this town is tourism. This is a not to be missed attraction.
