4.5Casco Antiguo(1.328 reviews) - The heart of the old town Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM Neighborhoods
This part of the city really is beautiful - the heart of the medieval old town and close to the Cathedral and all the main tourist sites. The architecture and the atmosphere are extraordinary - and always busy and bustling, except perhaps in Covid (I visited long before this). You can really get a feel for the city here by walking around and exploring all the narrow little streets. The area also boasts some of the city's finest restaurants for both in and outdoors dining - I had a lovely Spanish style ham, egg and chips in a restaurant by the Cathedral. There are plenty of places too for trying the famous Aqua da Valencia, which packs quite a punch.See more..
4.5Barrio del Carmen(1.184 reviews) - Great place to capture the essence of old Valencia! Neighborhoods
The oldest part of the city where you can see some very old architecture among the most incredible street art as well. A very interesting dichotomy between ancient and modern. There are so many places to explore within el Karni. It is definitely worth a visit and really captures the essence of Valencia in a lot of waysSee more..
4.5Barrio Santa Cruz(800 reviews) - Worth a visit Neighborhoods • Points of Interest & Landmarks • Historic Walking Areas
It was to hot to give this area a visit in the summer but having visited at New Year we were able to fully appreciate the old town. Stunning views and very old Spanish houses to admire. Only 5 minutes from the city centre. Would recommend.See more..
4.5Benidorm Old Town(796 reviews) - Benidorm at its best Neighborhoods
The ambience of the old town is memorable. My wife and I always stay in the vicinity. Except for Tapas Alley, which is a must visit, we ate and drank in British bars and restaurants hoping to help their recovery after the covid troubles. We were not disappointed with any of those we called at. Above all I recommend 69s Not Just Burgers, Caspers and Sherry's Bar. Ians' Restaurant served great food but the night was spoiled by (I believe) expats who thought it was clever to be loud and f'ing and b'ing. Late evenings in the old town are fantastic, lots of people milling about and the sound of their chatter is amazing.See more..
