Benidorm old town
The balcony still has its beauty and charm. It was excavated last year as it was supposed to be hiding some secret ruins but none of any significance were found. So there are glass viewing plates which are safe to stand on and you can see clay and sandstone 9ft deep but apart from that it's just as it was with every blue and white tile back to it's original glory. Historic square
This small square is beautifully located on Punta del Canfali, a rocky settlement on the coast. Here was a castle built in 1325. This fortress was at a strategic point where it was possible to watch the ships coming. However, in the war of independence, the English fleet demolished the castle by firing from their ships' cannons. Today you can find a charming church, some restaurants, a cannon monument, and stunning panoramic views.

Splendid
This area strikes you immediately with its white walls with blue tiles, canons on display and beautiful decorative centre. There is a wow factor here. It is in my opinion the best of Benidorm. In a city best known for bars and partying this plaza is a wonderful escape. I cannot understate how much I was impressed by the particular part of Benidorm.
