Very impressive by its size,this fortress tower is part of the first section of the great wall to be built,though there have been more recent modifications.Within the courtyard there are 2 specimens of elm tree which were common in this area a long time ago.The top of the tower offers a good 360 degree view of Yulin city and the bushland/desert.Well worth a visit overall!See more..
It took me two months to find the Weinan Drum Tower. It was worth the wait. The Tower is a little gem of history that has not been "fixed up." Take #1 bus to old Weinan across the River and keep your eyes left and you will easily see it. About 10 minute ride from new Weinan. Built in 1557 after the 1555 earthquake. Was lucky to find caretaker who let me into tower for a visit. Plenty to look at and image what the place use to be like.See more..
