4.0Qing Long Si(140 reviews) - Beautiful cherry blossom! Thursday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Speciality Museums
Our first time there, heard of it but never visited, finally we decided to go because we heard of the cherry blossom is amazing there. OMG the main gate is just fabulous, it's like a huge giant palace. You have to climb a lot of stairs to get up there, lol. Then we got in and the cherry blossom was just like pink clouds everywhere! Just be aware that during the cherry blossom season there will be a lot of people there, so if you want to go, go early in the morning. Weekend you will see "people mountain people sea"...There's an area that you have to pay to get inside, but it's ok if you don't want to pay, the blossoms in the free zone is incredible enough.See more..

4.0Baoji Famensi Museum(35 reviews) - An amazing temple Thursday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Speciality Museums
The attraction is about 10 km north of Fufeng County, Shaanxi Province. It has history of more than 1,700 years. Do allocate sufficient time to enjoy the beautiful landscape leading to the museum and temple. Religious and historical exhibits in the museum are informative and breathtaking. The main attraction is the relic (舍利) displayed in the main hall of the temple. You may refer the following websites (mostly in Chinese) before planning your visit to this amazing temple: http://www.fmsjq.com/index.html http://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/法门寺 http://baike.baidu.com/subview/42084/9218250.htmSee more..
This is the mother ship of Chinese Communist Party history as well as a total veneration of Mao. In addition to a wealth of charts, maps and photos depicting the era of the 20's through 1949, the museum presents spin and revisionist history at its best. All of the significant events have English descriptions. Seeing "purges" described as "party rectification" and reading of defeats described as "strategic movements" lends enjoyable irony to the exhibit.See more..

3.5HanZhongShi ChengShi GuiHua ZhanLanGuan(2 reviews) - The rural scenery. Different experience. Speciality Museums Cherry Ravine is located in Xixiang Shaanxi Province, a very small town in the middle of China. Though its location is quite remote, it’s China's second largest cherry base. So that there still are many people come to visit it. Every March is the flowering season, we can see snow-white cherry flowers all over the mountains just like a white picture. Then every May, cherry mellows. They are sweet and delicious. Except for eating them directly, we also can make cherry wine and cherry biscuits. The villagers living in Cherry Ravine can teach us do that, and I ever have a try and find out that’s easy to do and delicious. Don’t think we only can enjoy the pretty scene in Cherry Ravine, there are also quantities of farmhouses. That’s what I like most, because I can eat many food I can’t have in city, such as wild, stewed chicken and other special snack in Xixiang. Also, for photographers and the beauty, they can take a group artistic photos. I have done that before, just like a Flower Fairy. So I think all of you can enjoy it. Last but not the least, cherry trees are planted by the villagers and it’s their main income. So that, while you enjoy them don’t damage the trees and try to be a civilized visitor.See more..

4.0Paesant Painting of Huxian County(1 review) - Homestay Experience Thursday: 12:00 AM - 11:30 PM Speciality Museums My husband and I were on a 21-day tour. Part of tour included a home stay in the village. We stayed in the newer part of the village. The purpose was so that we would have a better understanding of the culture. Our group was split up so we could spend the night in a villager’s home. Language was definitely a challenge. The villagers spoke minimal English, but none of us spoke Mandarin. We all resorted to gestures and my Ipad Chinese/English dictionary to communicate. It took a lot longer, but it worked. We were fed very well and that evening we went to socialize in the square where everyone danced as a group to various types of music. The next day, we walked to a local artists’ studio. Wang Naillang painted pictures and also made pictures from straw. We purchased a peony straw picture and a painted panda picture (where both now proudly hang in our house in the U.S.) Then it was time for arts and crafts. His wife had us cut a red-folded tissue picture. The end result was supposed to be the Chinese word, “double happiness”. Mine came out in proportion while my husband’s came out a little “fat”. It was definitely an adventure. Afterwards, we walked to the older part of the village where some of it had been abandoned since residents usually moved to the new part when they could afford it. As a group, we were invited to walk into one of the older homes. It was occupied by an older Chinese woman who could have moved, but didn’t want to because this was her home. There were dirt floors with no evidence of electricity. The bed was a raised platform about 3 feet high made of bricks. Portions of the walls in some of the rooms wouldn’t keep the elements out. Frankly, my tent trailer has more amenities. After this village visit, I had a deeper appreciation of our living conditions in the United States!See more..
