4.5Xinghai Square(839 reviews) - The trip in Dalian during the winter vacation. Tuesday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Points of Interest & Landmarks
We went to the square during the Spring Festival.By my father's invitations and luckily, I had a amazing expereience in the Dalian city. The view was definitely awesome. There was a lot of things to do. We really did enjoyed the afternoon. To my surprise, we saw the seagulls beyond the beach, which was a very beatiful scene. We join in the crowds of people and we took a lots of photos. The place is absolutely a must-going on your travel list. As for supper,we had excellent Dalian seafood. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the food was georgeous. The seafood dumplings were really delicious which is beyond my expectation. But I think it might be a little expensive for 48 dollars (each prson)for a meal even though the dishes were served in high quality. But all in all, we had a great day though.I'd like to give a positive rating to the one of the greatest square in China.See more..
4.0Dalian People Square(193 reviews) - 30 Apr 2018 & 3 Dec 2018 visits Tuesday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Points of Interest & Landmarks • Scenic Walking Areas
Very nice square overall! The municipal government building is here located behind the central garden! In spring flowers blossom and it’s beautiful to see bees and dragonflies there flying. Winter though it’s barren but ok. It rained a lot in December. Since it’s a square, you can expect to find old aunties dancing there in the evening mostly. Moreover, children also fly kites there with their parents! Great place to hang outSee more..

4.0North Korean border at Dandong(75 reviews) - Nice place to visit the Great Wall and look into N. Korea Points of Interest & Landmarks
As other reviews state, it is a fairly short drive N of Dandong to the site of the eastern-most section of the Great Wall in China. The mile or so of wall that you get to walk on is in very good shape, and similar to sections you can visit near Beijing. I'm told that it is usually not too crowded, and that the air is often fairly clear. We found it beautiful and fun. There are some VERY steep sections, so only do this if you are in good shape and not afraid of heights. You can make a nice loop by going back on a trail that hugs the cliffs along the river which forms the border with N. Korea. That trail would be worth the trip/price, even without the Wall being there. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this site.See more..

4.5Tianqiao Ditch(9 reviews) - Awarded the cleanest Beauty Spot in Liaoning Tuesday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Points of Interest & Landmarks
An easy walk to some really pretty woodland country with waterfalls. Nice and cool in summer. There is a large expansion of the track system going on to get travelers to the top of the main waterfall at the top of the gorge - this will be great when finished. Previously they had a system of vertical ladders in place but these are closed now. Plenty of nuts, mushrooms and fungi on sale and good toilet facilities on site.See more..

4.0China and North Korea Folk Cultural Center(1 review) - North Korea and China claim to be close allies, but this place is empty Spent 1-2 hours Points of Interest & Landmarks • Monuments & Statues
I had some down time on a recent border trip and wanted to see the Korean War Museum of China. I have been to the one in Seoul and the one in Pyongyang-- how many people can say that. There is only one in China, but it is not this place. The Museum has been under renovation for some time so my colleague and I settled on this center to recognize the friendship between North Koreans and China. The focus, of course, is on the Korean war 1950-53 where the intervention of China in late fall of 1950 pushed UN forces back and allowed for a negotiated truce still in place today. This center focuses on artwork by North Koreans much of which labelled with a price tag. The themes are stories of camaraderie during the war and how well North Koreans and Chinese got along. A healthy dose of Socialist Realism art is available as well. That means farm scenes and factory scenes that are over the top abundant or clean or just good. Better than reality is Socialist Reality which only exists in art. Nobody was here. We paid the guard to enter 50RMB each, steep for a museum in China, and he walked behind us shutting off the lights in each room as we finished. Gift shop had lots of things, some from North Korea, much from China about North Korea, The "Help Korea fight America" liquor set, bottled in replica hand grenades would have been my purchase, but no way to carry that through security on the train. Most staff spek no Korean, but one of the smaller guest shops has North Korean people at work, paining and embroidering by hand. Fake NK pins with pictures of the leadership were pulled out and shown, but are not normally on display.See more..
