This museum was so much fun! The entrance fee was small, ¥500. We spent over two hours here. I had no idea that Toyota started as an automatic loom factory. I learned so much here and the staff was great! As an English Speaker, they were very informative and willing to explain and show us exhibits. The interaction here was very nice. Half the museum was the history of Toyoda and the loom while the other half was on the son of the inventor and how the Toyota cars came about. There is even a violin playing robot at the entrance! Awesome exhibits that will wow you how much train has evolved in a short span of time, and much of it due to Japan. Here's the BUT. The place is massive and there is so much to see. So if you plan to really learn more about everything, go first half of the day so you have the option to stay for the full day. I went late and had to rush through some of it before closing. Secondly, limited / lacking in English explanation is also a problem. See more..

Still the same excellent dinosaur museum. They seem to change some exhibits slightly every now and then, as I always notice something new whenever I visit again. You need to book online to visit, either in the morning or afternoon. It can be still be crowded inside, depending on the time slot and day. Masks are required to enter the museum, and there is disinfectant located at various places. There is currently a special exhibit about dinosaur footprints, which was interesting. I suggest checking their website to find out what special exhibits they might have at the time when you visit. See more..

    - Wonderful little museum

    D. T. Suzuki Museum image
This is a small but very elegant museum dedicated to the life and work of Daisetsu Teitaro Suzuki. He introduced Zen Buddhism to the west. It is not a big museum and you can not see much. But sitting outside by the pool and enjoy the silence and architecture is quite worth the visit. It's not far from Kenrokuen, maybe about 15 minutes walk. See more..
  6. 5.0 Ninja Weapon Museum (197 reviews)
    - Best experience in Kanazawa
    Friday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent < 1 hour Speciality Museums
    Ninja Weapon Museum image
Nobody calls themselves a “Ninja”. Therefore, the image and history of Ninja are vague and filled with mystery. However, in almost every famous war, Ninjas were spoken to have played a big role in the battle. It was Ninja’s flawless sneak missions that led the then-smaller Samurai feudal lords to great victory. In most of the legendary battles in history where the army ran short in number, Ninja would sneak into the enemy's base and cause their army to fail. Sanada Masayuki was the well-known example of the warlords who were also a great coordinator of the Ninja unit. The Sanada clan, despite its army merely being of 2,000 soldiers, has defeated the Tokugawa clan whose soldiers nearly counted 8,000. Ninja Weapon Museum is the place where we exhibit many kinds Ninja's weapons as well as historical weapons such as Samurai swords. It is our mission to share the authentic history of Ninja and ancient Japanese weapons. See more..
