Visited this museum on a Thurs morning in Nov. It was not too crowded but there were lots of visiting school students at this time. Its Contemporary art so manage your expectations if that’s not your interest. There is free coin operated locker. The building is very warm especially when it’s sunny. Make sure you wear layers. You can make online reservation for the famous swimming pool but it gets full quite quickly. We arrived at 9:45AM at the museum and were able to make a same day reservation for 7PM - the last time slot. If contemporary art is not your thing, I would recommend you drop by anyways and check out the free exhibits. You can also see the swimming pool from the ticket area. Kanazawa Castle is just across the street. See more..
