The area is very beautiful, green, here you can walk perfectly.

The Kolomna Kremlin is the heart of the city. This is a powerful medieval fortress built under Ivan the Terrible with impressive brick walls up to 21 meters high and surrounded by the remaining seven towers. Each tower has an interesting architecture and history. On the territory of the Kremlin there are several monasteries belonging to the same time period. The area is very beautiful, green, here you can walk perfectly. All are adapted for tourist purposes - there are many cafes and museums on the territory where you can have a great time.

    1 day visit
It took 3 hours to reach Kolomna by car from Moscow (130 km). You can also reach by train in about 2 hours in a half. The Kremlin is well conserved, a lot of towers an a small part of the wall. It is nice to walk in the area and strets inside the Kremlin knowing about the history of this interesting place.

    The best russian town
I heard a lot about Kolomna and finally I had a chance to visit this town. It is a town from a fairytale. The best russian town I've ever visited. We had a very good english-speaking guide Sophie. She is very intelligent, devoted to her town and her job and very modest. It takes just two hours to get there by car. So dont miss it when you are in Russia.
