An absolute must place to stay in Austria
An absolute amazing place to stay or visit. So much to do: Cable cars Gondolas Swimming Ice skating Boating Cycling Eating Shopping Paddle boardibg Banana boating Paddle boating Steam train Buses (lots and on time) Lots of drinking Sun bathing Relaxing Adventuring Can't fault this place - it has everything even for our two young kids. The place is spotless and everyone is enjoying life. Lots of other local places to visit and most all free of charge to get there using public transport. Recommend staying at a hotel that offer the Zell an See / Kaprun Summer Card and it can be an affordable holiday, even so you will get discounts everywhere for just being a visitor.we will be back very soon. Weather was great which helps - boiling hot during the day and cooling off with rain and thunder over night - so it worked out well. We will never forget such a wonderful holiday and hope to be back next year, now we know what and where to go Fantastic

Walk around Zel am see lake
The walk around Zel am See lake is approx 7 miles and took us around 2 hours. A mixture of path/ nature reserve and footpath along the main road. It allows delightful views of all aspects of the lake.

Red 20 - warning!
I’m a returning skier, after 20 years. Great slopes and aprè ski. Had great weather this week so some lower slopes now lacking snow cover Feb 18th 2023, including route from ski school to city. Watch out for red 20, should probably be a black under the current conditions (it scared my daughter who’s done lots of Red runs and 1 or 2 blacks with her instructor) and the alternative gondola is worth taking if you’re not 100% confident (otherwise lovely route in to city). Also, bottom 20m of snow road from city is tricky black, which is a shame, although caused much family amusement and competition to see who could get down without falling!! Great skiing and wonderful people would love to come again!
