    Not well connected
St. Anton itself has 3 distinct ski areas - Galzig, Gampen and Rendl. The Galzigbahn gondola is very quick and queues less than 10 mins. There is lots of off-piste for which the area is well-known but in my opinion the pistes are very randomly graded. There are a couple of very steep, mogulled blues which are more challenging than a couple of the blacks. The main (blue) run back to Galzig base gets very crowded and mogulled in the afternoon and I certainly would not recommend St. Anton for beginners. Intermediate and above will find a lot of skiing as the lift pass covers Zurs/Lech, Warth and several smaller areas.

    Stunning views
The skiing was good, not great. And if you're accustomed to skiing in the US, Europe is much different. A lot cheaper, which is great, but lift lines are not managed...be prepared to fight your way constantly or you'll never reach the front of the line. St Aton itself, I wish they groomed wider swaths, some of the slopes were too narrow. But it's a great place and I'd return.
