    A church to remember
An absolutely amazing baroque church to visit. The size is spectacular, and the interior is just awe inspiring. Theoretically it is free to visit but they do ask for a 5 euro donation which seems to be such a small price when you visit a historic structure. It will be inevitable that you will take a ton of pictures and fondly look back at them as one of the highlights of visiting Salzburg. Enjoy.

    impressive installation in downtown Salzburg
we spent about ½ day wandering around downtown Salzburg. One of the places we stopped was this cathedral. Unlike many we have visited around the world, there was actually a modest “conservation” fee to get inside. It is an impressive cathedral…soaring ceilings, loads of artwork, etc.. The pipe organ was huge, but we never got a chance to hear it. It’s easy enough to see if you’re already wandering around, but you’ll have to find parking (easy enough to do) to make a special trip.
