We did the 2 day cat ba Tour to see these amazing rocks, lagoons and caves around ha long! The company can show you some not so overcrowded touristic places and make your trip special. We had a really really great guide Toni (). Beside the Kajak trips, he is always there and super friendly. He teaches us interesting cultures aspects of Vietnam which I loved to hear! The sleeping boat is very clean, AC and private bathroom! The food of the crew was delicious, also for vegetarians. Please bring also money in cash to buy your drinks like beer or coke, water is included. The company is very well organized and even helped us to rebook our bus last minute to another city! Was on Orchid Classic 2, loved the itinerary which included kayaking and cycling on Cat Ba island. Classic cruise only has 14 rooms, and is therefore, less crowded. At night, my friends and I had the sun deck/ bar to ourselves. There was a good variety of delicious food and the service was great. Vi Vi (Vy Vy?) was the waitress assigned to our group the entire cruise and she was always friendly and attentive. Would also like to commend Rosie who always responded to our queries quickly, and David who was a fantastic tour guide, and gave us an impromptu tai chi session on the beach. Note: 1. Room 108 is noisy and you can hear the engine any time it’s on, including 4-5am. They changed our room after we highlighted this. 2. Nice trip out with Cat Ba Green Trails. We did the day tour which includes the usual itinerary: cruise, kayak, visit to the fish farm, stop for a swim, very tasty and varied lunch. Our tour guide, Jack, did a nice job pointing things out and answering questions. We found the water clean and the route around Cat Ba not crowded, at least when we went in cool December. Absolutely wonderful day. This company is the first to start in the morning (7:30), so we were everywhere first. Which is great especially when kajaking. It's so different to paddle through a cave in a little group, instead in "heavy traffic". We made a long tour with a nice wooden ship of nice size (not too big, not small) through the Lan Ha and Halong bays, a stunning, breath taking scenery. Mr. Tar, a young man, was a competent/friendly/attentiv guide, who told us a lot and whom we could ask everything about the trip and todays Vietnam. We were also swimming, cycling and a splendid lunch was served on the boat. Cannot imagine a better tour in this wonderful national park. See more..

We took the one day Lan Ha - Halong Tour and it’s highly recommended! The boat is clean and comfortable and the captain is an expert. Our guide Ha was 10/10 - he explained historical and scientific concepts in English and could answer all our questions. He is very friendly and knowledgeable and has interesting stories to tell! You can even ask him for oyster and beer recommendations on Cát Bà! He also gave us advice for our motorbike ride down south (he loves motorbikes!). The tour was relaxing - you go through the bay and enjoy the limestone structures and the kayak tour brings you through the caves into smaller lakes. They have a stop at place with small beaches for swimming. Had a great time on the 1 night, 2 day cruises. The service was particularly good - we wars served by “Andrew” who went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed. The boat itself (room, restaurant, sky bar were all very well decorated) , however more party music must be added for enjoyment The one thing I’d suggest is to include VAT & service charges in the displayed price - As it can mislead customers if they aren’t detail oriented. Personally I’d suggest a 2 night cruises to enjoy all the facilities and services at a slower pace. See more..

I took the one day boat tour leaving from cat Ba town. This is as action packed and fun from the start. First we sailed on our comfortable boat through the incredible kharsts. Then on to the activity. A kayak trip and then a swim in the middle of nowhere. The lunch on board was great and then we went to a village where fish nibbled our toes and we cycled round a fresh water lake. The trip was led by the enthusiastic and friendly local guide Ryan. Came here with a couple of friends for 2 nights and had a wonderful stay. You don’t need much longer than this as the island is very small but still has plenty to offer within a short range. The serenity cruise was an amazing experience that I will remember for ever. We got to kayak around beautiful areas, through caves in to lagoons surrounded my forest covered mountains. We jumped off the ship and swam to secrete beaches where we were the only ones there. All the time I felt our guide Dii and the whole crew were doing everything in there power to make it the most wonderful trip for us. I am gluten free and vegan and they catered to my diet while also providing the other guests who eat meat with a delicious feast. It was very luxurious, while also being affordable, I saw people on other cruises where the boat was full with tourist sat on wooden beaches and for just a few dollars more we had so much space with comfortable furniture, eating fruit and drink cocktails . We did a 5D4N tour or Hanoi, Halong Bay and Ninh Binh with Hai Phong Tours. Phuong was amazing from the start. He helped put together a great itinerary for our small private tour of 5. From airport transfers, Hanoi Day tour, Halong Bay cruise and Ninh Binh tour, we had a great and relaxing time. Very helpful in suggesting the itinerary, advising the places suitable for our group as we have 2 seniors and 1 child with us. Phuong helped with reservation of the Halong Bay 2D1N cruise, it was a great experience! The planning was done with great ease over Whatsapp. Man, our guide arranged by Phuong, was also very good and professional. Speaks relatively good English. The drivers were great and vehicles arranged for our group was comfortable and we felt very safe during the journey. Thien Long is located in Phu Long town, which is isolated from the area around. When we (I and other accompanied people) came there, one man, short but kind, picked up us and took us to the cave. The cave was quiet at that time, there was no one else except us, the man, living in and managing the cave, told us about discovering the cave and an ancient tomb. According to him, the ancient tomb was 1000 years old and excavated in 2002 in the recent years. Going around the cave, We saw the root of hundred year Banian tree which was planted on the top of the mountain (Si is a plant symbolized something old and holy, and usually grown in temples, pagodas, and communal houses in villages). The cave’s air is so cool and fresh; at times some bats flew over our heads and made us nervous. The man smiled and said that many people were afraid of bats however they were good animal, the cave had many mosquitoes. Kayaking tour from Cat Ba to Lán Ha Bay was a great experience. A taxi boat took us to the centre of Lan Ha Bay where we got a kayak for more than 5 hours. We had the chance to explore the bay on our own without any tourists or organized trip. Of course be prepared for a lot of paddling but it’s managable for a reasonably fit person. It’s a perfect choice for people who like to do stuff on their own without large groups. We had a chance to buy lunch (banh mi) at a store next to the office before departing, I recommend doing the same as in the Bay there was no option to buy food. Overall Blue Swimmer Adventures is a great choice to explore Lan Ha Bay. The owner communicates swiftly on Facebook messenger and WhatsApp and they will give you recommendations and take care of you. Price was 60usd per double kayak (two persons) and included transportation, park entrance fee and kayak. The taxi boat departs in the morning around 8-9 am from Ben Bao port and returns around 3-4 pm. See more..
