You'll find print makers, book binders, paper artists, a glass blower and clothing designers. You'll find many starting out in their artistic careers, and others with gallery representation. Western Avenue hosts Open Studios the first Saturday of each month and additional holiday open studio dates. The Last Safe and Deposit Company is a new venue for the best musicians of funk, jazz, contemporary etc. in the Boston area. It is owned and run by a highly selective hip hop man called Dee Tension We went last night in the pouring rain to this underground venue and were rewarded by hearing Big Ben Hillman with his outstanding band. Professional musicians were invited to join in after careful screening and we were amazed when a young man Seth joined in and melded with and enhanced the group. The place that night offered more than drink. It offered a unique feeling of exuberance and joy. I hope you all enjoy it as much as we did. See more..

This minor league baseball park is a great family friendly venue at a great value. In today’s day and age of major league ticket prices where a lot families can’t afford, going to a spinners game is a great alternative. The park is clean, the staff is nice and they have good entertainment between innings which keep things fun. But there isn’t just baseball being played at this amazing ballpark, there is tons of other fun entertainment! Things from baseball camps to fireworks for the 4th of July in the summer! Really nice place to see a concert. The outdoor setting is really nice on a summer night. Parking garage was across the street, $10 event parking. The bathrooms for use during the show were on the bottom first floor of the garage, they were a good size, cleanliness was ok. Second time seeing a show their, we will be back again. See more..

We were drawn initially to learn about streetcars, and glad to see the informative displays on the first floor, and delighted to find the whole second floor dedicated to helping kids learn and interact with various activities. I didn’t realize how extensive Lowell was, and I deeply appreciated the ride in an authentic trolley car to give us a sense of history and to help us get around. Unless you want to head towards Cambridge or Boston, this is one of the best places to hear great live blues, jazz, funk, etc. James Montgomery, Jamie Lynn Hart, Diane Blue, Chris Fitz, The Love Dogs, Evan Goodrow...no cover charge typically, although did pay to see James. Friendly, intimate, clean, and great mixed drinks by Courtney. If you want food go next door to the Blue Taleh, delicious. Only complaint - no real food or munchies to speak of (just small pizza).
