Lowell's history
A of Lowell's history is to be found here. Many enlarged old photographs of buildings, mils, canals, family's, churches etc. Stories about the Lowell Mill Girls.

This has exhibit space and research space
They have exhibits showing how the original mill girls lived and also gives a little historical perspective about where they came from and why they came to Lowell. By the 1840's the first of the immigrants, the Irish started to displace the original mill girls - they were cheaper and the company did not have to provide housing and guidance for the Irish.
