  2. 5.0 The Farm (331 reviews)
    - Lots of KODAK moments
    Farms
    The Farm image
If you have children or grand kids this is a must attraction for all ! Basically it's a farm setting and children's zoo all in one. My kids love feeding the baby goats with the milk bottle you get on entry . Be sure you get there WAY BEFORE NOON as they usually cut the bottle feedings at noon so the goats aren't over fed. Tip: Family should split up on entry 5 minutes apart so you can get extra milk ticket ! Thank me later ! We normally don't buy the dry goat food as goats will jump on kids the minute they spot the milk bottle in their hand ! Make sure you got your phone camera ready and charged .as the action is fast and furious ! The goats will drain that little milk bottle in a heart beat ! There are chicken coops, Brahma bulls with baby, bull, baby kittens, and assortment of other friendly animals kids can pet. They even have a milking table where they let kids milk a mama goat to get milk for the bottles ! See more..

  6. 5.0 Schartner's Farm Market (66 reviews)
    - Great roadside stop
    Flea & Street Markets
    Schartner's Farm Market image
We stopped by Schartners at the recommendation of one of the owners of Valmy Happy Hour. Their pies came highly recommended. Get there early. Our first visit was later in the day and a number of the fresh items were already gone or picked over. We picked up some local items and made a mental note to come back. On our next trip, on our way out of town, the parking lot was full and so was the bakery case. They had several cherry pies and I appreciate they came in various sizes. We also picked up some bratwurst too and love that they have cooler bags to keep our stuff fresh. The pie we picked up was a housewarming gift for a friend on our way home. We dug into it and it was delicious. This comes from someone that isn't a huge fan of pie. If these were available on the regular, I'd be in trouble. See more..

We came here as a couple on a week away—and it was too cold to swim. Still, we were pleasantly surprised by how well-maintained the beach area is. Whitefish Dunes State Park image
absolutely stunning walk along the lake with ample trails in park and nearby. Nice little history about sunken ship in park area, bathrooms clean, and in various points throughout park, lush colors last week of October. Well marked trails with maps at various locations. Some of trail is rugged with tree roots (not as extensive as in cave point, county park which is adjacent), and paved, dirt and gravel trail which was not rugged at all. Through the woods in parts, it was bumpy but you could run with a dog and not break an ankle. The terrain does change in various locations. Over all, it was gorgeous. The prices are good and the variety is terrific. You can buy delicious cherry juice-which is already frozen so you can travel with it and refrigerate as soon as you get home. We kept it in a cooler for several hours and could then continue thawing in the frig when we got home. The store is large, so easy to move around and not feel crowded. See more..

We fortunately came upon this somewhat hidden gem, while exploring Door County. Being that it was the last week of March; there was little foliage, but also little crowding. There are beautiful views of the Lake; and a few trees bisecting the road, adds to the charm of this natural refuge. Whether one enjoys slowly driving, hiking and/or just sightseeing; it's definitely worth the effort to seek out this area. See more..

    Eagle Trail image
Really neat trail. Says 2 mile loop, but it’s a little longer than that. Beautiful scenery and wooded landscape. Great trail for a workout and a bit of a challenge. Some areas are simple, but others areas you have to climb straight up rocks and roots. Awesome views of the water, and neat rocks to climb and explore. Don’t forget the bug spray! See more..

  28. 4.0 Stone's Throw Winery (774 reviews)
    - Great lunch!
    Sunday: 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM Wineries & Vineyards
    Stone's Throw Winery image
My husband and I stopped by their wine bar for a Saturday afternoon lunch. It was a delightful meal with very attentive service and excellent food. We enjoyed the meatballs and the cold smoked duck, both of which come with several thin pieces of excellent baguette, as well as three glasses of different wines between us. Prices aren’t cheap, but they are in line with Door Co. and reflective of the high quality of the food and wine. Incidentally, we happened to be there when the wedding party of 14 dropped in (they left a nasty review below.) It’s a small place (as is the tasting room); of course they can’t accommodate that many people without notice. Don’t let that deter you from visiting. See more..
