   Bou Hedma is a really exceptional place! It is the relict of the North African wilderness, which was characterized by elephants, lions, and vide variety of large animals until the ancient Roman times. The elephants and lions were extinct, but there are rare antelopes, gazelles, barbary sheeps, ostriches, and jackals. It is very similar to the Kalahari.
