  1. 5.0 Le Lemon Tour (60 reviews)
    - Great Tour!
    Friday: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM Cultural Tours • Historical & Heritage Tours • Private Tours • Self-Guided Tours & Rentals • Archaeology Tours
    Le Lemon Tour image
Very knowledgeable guide and having a private tour enabled us to learn much more than we would if it was a larger group. Bicycles were in acceptable mechanical condition for the flat route. Bicycles were good because there is one-half km or so between all sites so walking would take too long. Highly recommended! See more..

Ancient history with stunning seaside views, a must see and do. It was like 5$ each to get in definitely worth it. Wear running shoes you are walking for at least an hour or more, up and down steps as well. It was impressive to see what they built with their sheer strength, Romans were nothing if not determined !! See more..

    Museum Dar el-Annabi image
An incredible place, with entrance fee a mere pittance: 5 TD. Although the woman who took my money scowled at me, she later served two glasses of included mint tea with a smile so go figure. I was the only tourist on a weekday lunch visit. I could have lingered for another hour inspecting all the details… a beautiful place with an incredibly relaxing vibe. There’s printouts in different languages including English. See more..

Open daily from 09:00 - 17:00. Closed on December 25th and January 1st. The 27-acre North Africa American Cemetery and Memorial, just a short distance north of the capital city of Tunis, is the final resting place for 2,841 of America's military fallen, their headstones set in straight lines and subdivided into nine rectangular plots bordered by wide paths, with decorative fountains at their intersections. Along the tree-lined terrace leading to the memorial court is the Wall of the Missing which contains 3,724 names of those never recovered. Most honored here lost their lives during World War II military activities ranging from North Africa to the Persian Gulf. The chapel and the memorial court, which contain large mosaic maps depicting the operations and supply activities of American forces across Africa to the Persian Gulf, were designed to harmonize with local architecture. The cemetery also lies within the UNESCO World Heritage Archaeological Site of Carthage. See more..

  11. 4.5 Theatre Municipal de la Ville de Tunis (48 reviews)
    - A Jewel
    Theaters
Theatre Municipal de la Ville de Tunis image
You can't miss it, both literally and figuratively. A quaint building that offers an amazing experience. I am not sure, but I don't think it is open for visits. However, it might be interesting for you to check if there are any shows that you may appreciate (or understand, if you're not an Arabic speaker) The ticket boxes are on the right side of the building, and you can check if there are any shows in there. It is always better to book in advance. Make sure you choose your seat properly when buying the tickets. Each time I've been there, they tried to give the worst seats. Avoid being seated at the far end of the left or right wings, especially upstairs. The view from there is terrible. You can always try to change your seat later, but that will certainly mar your experience. On buying the tickets, the vendor will bring out a map of the theater. That's where you can make the best choice. See more..

Centre des Musiques Arabes et Mediterraneennes image
No visit to Sidi Bou Saïd should occur without a stop at the exquisite house of Le Baron Rudolf d’Erlanger, artist and apparent savant. We strained our necks witnessing and in total awe of the carved and gilded ceilings...having to be walked out after closing, clinging to last moments amongst the instruments. See more..

We had a really pleasant time here wandering about and experiencing the sights and sounds. We never experienced and problems and in fact had a few laughs on the way through. Worth a visit. See more..
  17. 4.5 Deyma (7 reviews)
    - A must stop for dates and olive oil
    Speciality & Gift Shops
    Deyma image
Every time I visit Tunisia I go home with olive oil and dates from Deyma. The store in Sidi Bou Said is beautiful and a nice place to sit and enjoy all they have to offer. I think they told me they even have brunch sometimes, but I would check to confirm that. They also have a store on Ave. Bourgiba but it is not nearly as large or beautiful as this one. And if you leave the store and regret that you didn't buy more, they also sell at the airport, but remember no liquids on connecting flights in your carry on. See more..

Wonderful cathedral in which I had the chance to go in and see. They had mass which of course is in French and to get in there is security to make sure you don’t have weapons which I assume to protect from extreme terrorists who don’t like non Muslims. 24. 4.0 Saint Louis Cathedral (142 reviews)
    - Colorful cathedral!
Historic Sites • Churches & Cathedrals
    Saint Louis Cathedral image
Since the Carthage National Museum was closed, we did not have the chance to see the collection of objects found on the site. However, we went to visit the Acropolium, which is the old Saint Louis Cathedral. Since 1993, the cathedral is no longer used for worship, but instead, it serves for a series of cultural events such as concerts and festivals. When we entered inside the cathedral, a wedding was in preparation but it did not interfere with our visit. We were able to admire its singular architecture following a Byzantine-Moorish style featuring stained glass, azure blue painted wall, and sculpted arabesques. It did not take us that long to do the tour, we were done in less than 10 minutes. Visit my Instagram (kelledstyle) and blog for more info and pictures ;-) See more..
