   We visited Plopsa with our 3 year old daughter. There are different size restrictions for the various fair's so she could not enter all yet. The restrictions are like <85,>85...100 and >100cm. For some games you still have to pay extra and you can only pay with cash/coins. There is free wifi (password: plopsaland), but it is very slow and not always a strong signal. The fairground itself is getting old and could use a fresh-up. The food is fast food mostly and during lunch time it can get very busy and you need to stand in a very slow line...    We went to Orvelte for a couple of hours when staying in the area. We had been before, but that was 10-15 years ago. It is still an extremely pleasant village. No cars with easy parking, green and so many farms and houses which are worth the visit. A good visit for 2-3 hours. The only disadvantage was that very few demonstrations have remained.    Visited with my two older teenage kids. Tree top walk is fun, but quite short. You can climb to 22 metres high to get a good view. From there you can embark on a number of walks, with the shortest being a 3K circuit. There is no English signage but you can pretty much get the meanings anyway. Nice cafe on site, with a good choice of drinks and snacks. On site parking and the site is easy to find. See more..

   Gaaf zwembad met superbehulpzaam personeel. Met ons vakantiekamp voor tieners met een gedragsuitdaging hadden we een regendagje voor De boeg. We besloten te gaan zwemmen en kwamen in dit zwembad terecht. Aantal kleedhokjes niet mega veel. Aantal te huren à 0,10 kluisjes daarentegen weer voldoende. Binnen een gave maalstroom. Een actief 25? meterbad met 4 banen voor spelen en twee voor baantjes trekken. Een interactieve waterglijbaan. Wel wat kort maar sowieso veilig. Veel speelfun in en rond een warmwaterstuk en bubbelbad. Ook buiten veel ruimte op ligweide speelzone en buitenbad.

   Pleasant place in the center of Assen. Don't expect a park as the Gouverneurstuin is rather small. It once was for private use of the Governer of Drenthe province, Petrus Hofstede 1814 tot 1831.     Tegenwoordig staat er een kopie van het kasteel van Coevorden in Vancouver vanwege de familie"Van Coevorden";voorouders van de ontdekker van West Canada.

    The foundation of the tower is made of boulders. Until about 3m high the tooled boulders support the brick Roman style tower which dates back to the 1200s. The spire and adjacent neogothic church structure are relatively new (20th and 19th century respectively).     Ein wirklich schöner und überraschend großer Park! Bei jeder Ecke waren wir überrascht, dass es noch mehr zu entdecken gibt. Ja, manche Volieren sind in die Jahre gekommen, aber ein Großteil der Tiere lebt in großzügigen Volieren. Viele der Vögel haben wir hier zum ersten Mal gesehen. Wünschenswert wäre eine aktuelle Beschriftung der Käfige, aber wir werden definitiv wiederkommen. Der Park hat unglaublich viel Potenzial und befindet sich weiterhin im Umbauprozess (nachdem ihn die neuen Eigentümer übernommen haben).

    The light exhibition is closed but the park is open during a day to public. Despite of the fact that the light exhibition is officially closed, the tickets are still being sold. We were not informed about this fact just found out by a chance. We have asked for a full refund but our refund was refused. Their response was: 'Unfortunately we do not give money back. We will open as soon as the weather is possible and will also continue for another month. It is true that tickets are still for sale. This is because there are people who buy a card to support us in these difficult times. Furthermore, our facebook, instagram and website clearly indicate that we will be closed until at least January 14.' With the current covid situation, I doubt anything will be functionally for another month or so. This is just a rip off to get money out of customers, they should have stopped selling online tickets. We were planning to go this weekend, due to covid we cannot, which we understand but what we do not understand is that they still selling tickets and do not offer refunds for something they cannot deliver.
