   this is a really nice place to have a drink and hang out - close to the centre of town (near tesco). the bar was set up as an income generating project for ex political prisoners from just over the border - if you are around for a bit, you may get to hear some of the stories. prices good, food limited but excellent (i.e. burmese salads are the best in town) - staff are awesome and they have cool music a film night on sundays. could extend their menu a wee bit? While Iguazu is wide and gigantic and Niagara is Disneyland like, the Thi Lo Su is a beautiful combination of different falls of various heights.     My mum is a Thai, we stay at Khirirat, Phop Phra District, Tak, Thailand. I grew up playing there when I visit over my school holidays. It is beautiful there, you can actually climb up by the stairs on the side, all the way up. (It's dangerous for kids to go alone, at least 1 adult supervising please. You can actually play in it. What I will do is to climb up from the rock, dangerous adventure. Overall, drop by if you're there. It's gonna be worth it. Quiet and beautiful. See more..

    We stopped here on the drive from Mae Sot to Tak. This used to be a very difficult road but its now a magnificent 4 lane highway ! Great engineering effort through the Mountains! The market is very extensive extremely clean ! The fruit and Vegetables on sale are magnificent the Local strawberries a highlight! As well they have clothing and and array of other goods. Its obviously a market to servive locals not tourists but we found it a highlight of our Journey in this part of Thailand. Stop and enjoy the colour sounds and aroma of local activities!     Actually getting wet jacuzzi style rather than swimming.I did find a spot right in front of one where the waterfall deposited. Some static swimming.Lovely place I only went to the falls,but to all of them the furthest a 2km hike through bamboo forest via clearly defined tracks.The lovely lady let me off of the tourist inflated fee of 100b and charged me the local 40b. 'I cycled here all the way from Bangkok my carbon footprint credit owes me' I protested.(and right too!) I gave her a note to hand to the Chief of Thailand's National Parks.Suggesting 'Falang' cyclist should always only pay the Thai rate. (Good green policy!). A great day out on the bicycle from Tak.Plenty of shade very few people,I imagine few/none during the week. Take sturdy shoes you don,t mind getting wet such as Keen sandals.     It was such a treat to visit Ariyaspa. I had the full body scrub, mud mask and oil massage package which was great value for a 2 hour treatment. The masseuse was extremely professional and attentive in providing a relaxing experience. You are given a lovely, private bathroom and shower to wash / change between treatments. Plus a welcome cup of tea after the treatment with delicious coconut cookies (have not been able to find these anywhere to buy, so guessing home-made).     Swamp переводится как топь болото. Я честно говоря была озадачена когда посмотрела по Гуглу где я буду жить и перевела . Я была уверена что это вроде озера небольшого, но название вернее перевод отличился. Сразу говорю что впечатление болота и топи не производит а даже как то украшает и облагораживает окружающее место. Так что селитесь около этой топи и не пожалеете. Всё равно это производит впечатление маленького озера. Но я не заметила ни скамеек ни чего что бы напоминало отдых у воды. Просто вода.     This place was very interesting to visit and experience the goings on at the border. For someone who lives on an island country land borders are always fascinating. There’s a lot going on around the bridge with the market being the main draw card for visitors. The strip which is kind of “no man’s land” sells all sorts of “duty free” goods including cigarettes and alcohol. Separately there’s a large market with rows of shops selling numerous items including fabric and handicraft. There is ample parking free of charge and you can spend a couple of hours browsing and grabbing some quality bargains. See more..
