5.0Lembeh Strait(241 reviews) - Indeed the best muck diving Nature & Wildlife Areas
Dived 10x here over the course of 5 days, each one showcasing something different. Recommend Odyssea Divers, who know the sites exceptionally well. Also recommend the mandarin fish dive - very likely you'll see them mating; and the black water dive, which is something quite different from the usual!See more..

5.0Bada Valley(44 reviews) - a must-see in between Rantepao/Toraja and the Togean Islands. Tuesday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent More than 3 hours Historic Sites • Ancient Ruins
Noni from the Victory Hotel in Tentena arranged for transport to the remote Bada valley and also got us in touch with a very good local guide to visit the megalith sites. She was also very helpful in finding transport for our onward journey to Ampana and the Togean Islands. All in all, also because of the relaxed surroundings and spacious rooms, a highly recommended place to stay!See more..
5.0Mount Soputan(15 reviews) - Highest volcano in North Sulawesi Volcanos
Climbing Soputan volcanoes real peak in one day is possible but very hard. If tour operators or travel agencies offer Soputan volcano trekking they mean reaching Aeseput volcano (1.590 m), the "child of Soputan". No agency really offers climbing to the real peak of this young volcano which belongs to the Tondano caldera. Only some local adventurous reached the summit before its last eruption on 05.01.2016 and 09.02.2016. On 26.08.2016 at 10:15 am we reached the rim of Soputan after a long trek - started at the village of Pinabetengan at 1 am in the morning. It is a very hard, difficult and dangerous climb. The altitude was 1.937 m. There is a higher point at the rim but more difficult to reach because of the current strong volcanic activity.See more..

Liangkabori Cave turned out to be the unexpected highlight of our first week in Sulawesi Tenggara. This is perhaps the best cave art sight we have seen, up there with Bhimbetka in India. In the main cave there are 130 paintings visible, ranging from a massive ox-like creature to suns, mounted riders, ancestor figures, boats and the oldest depictions of kites on Earth. These vivid scenes are both photogenic and a fascinating window on ancient Sulawesi. There's a second cave higher up the hill. It features one good hunting scene panel but the main attraction for some will be an underground chamber which was used by local mystics for meditation. It is not for the claustrophobic or faint of heart, however. Local kids will show you the way.See more..

See more..
