Very beautiful forest and hot steams!

Lushious jungle and natural garden, looks like a jurrasic park!! Walking 4 hours totally worth it. to see the volcano with steam and hot water.

Closer...
... to an active vulaco is just not possible. See the hot springs, the smoke and feel the heat right in the middle of tropical jungle.

Beautiful volcano hike!
With help of a local guide we hiked up a river bed and trough the desolated jungle to get into the volcano crater. The moment we started the hike we didnt cross any humans or human activity, its the proper Jurassic Park feeling of a remote and untouched island. Once in the crater we took a swim in the (more refreshing than expected) lake and saw signs of volcanic activity; boiling water, steam, yellow sulfur etc. All together the hike took us 4 to 5 hours, excluding the motor ride to the river bed (which is an adventure itself!). Maybe the best day-hike I ever did! The resorts on Una Una can get you in touch with these guides. We arranged it at Pristine Paradise.
