The Saluopa waterfall is magnificent - highly recommended! Besides the waterfall, do go on treks in the surrounding forest. I went with Petrus on two hikes - once in the day and once at night to see the nocturnal tarsiers. Petrus is an excellent wildlife guide who really cares for nature. He is enthusiastic about showing you how ingenious the local people are in using the bountiful natural resources of the forest and very knowledgeable. I learnt a lot about local flora and fauna. The tarsiers are adorable little critters - not to be missed! I should also add that Petrus was very patient and considerate of my urban clumsiness, and was attentive and always needful of safety. Highly recommend this experience with him. See more..

Moramo Waterfalls is located in Tanjung Peropa Rainforest conservation area in Moramo District, South Konawe, Southeast Sulawesi. With 100 metres height and beautiful landscape, water flows through the Sevent level. It also has the 60 small levels with the unic pools. You can swim or shower there, with the fresh water, cool air, and clear water you can feel how very cool the water and the silence of rain forest. As though, the sun is trying to penetrate the forest cover with is accompanied by melodious bird's voices. before you reach that place, you will pass the beautiful rain forest for about 1.000 metres. There is the tree only around you. If you want to reach it, you can take the flight from Jakarta city to the city of Kendari, after that you can rent a car to go that place. Enjoy your holiday in Moramo Waterfalls. See more..

    - Really lovely waterfall, through the jungle

We really liked visiting Kali Falls (Air Terjun Kali). Really nice waterfall and interesting walking through the jungle to get there along the concrete steps. Don’t follow google maps - drive your scooter to Kali Village (to the north) and the entrance to the walk is from the top of a path there (you can just ask one of the locals where to go, we gave 20,000 Rp for parking to a local). As others have said, the concrete steps are quite slippery so I would say best for people with good shoes on and good balance. Would recommend to visit! It took us about 30min on the way down, 20min back up. See more..

there are no road signs, so make sure you have google maps enabled. Very nice waterfall, you have the opportunity to take a dip in the cool water too so bring a change. Lots of photo opportunities too. Toilets are basic. Go on a weekday when there's no one. Best to go in the morning or early afternoon. the sun sets at about 1730, and you dont want to be lost since there are no road signs See more..

This park is a gem bordered with pristine foresh and many fresh water streams, but poorly managed and maintenance. Pity they had trash everywhere. There is some forest track, but no such thing as forest ranger. See more..
