  1. 5.0 Padar Island (1.232 reviews)
    - Amazing island
    Sunday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Islands
    Padar Island image
We went to the island by Kharisma tour, slow boat trip. We don’t like to visit too many places in one day as it is plan for trips by speed boat from Labuan Bajo. We visited also Komodo island and snorkeled at the Pink beach. We especially loved Padar island and snorkling near the Pink beach and would higly recommend this kind of trip. We should snorkel also with mantas but we were not lucky - they said no mantas today. See more..

    - Amazing experience with Scuba Republic!
    Sunday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM Scuba & Snorkelling
    Scuba Republic image
We had amazing diving experience with Scuba Republic in Labuan Bajo. Staff - Shivaan, Annabelle and Rohek were incredible. 3 dives per day is a lot for normal OpenWater divers like us. But, their absolute pleasant personalities make everything a breeze. Gear is all top notch - AquaLung. Their large boat had plenty of room and bean bags on the deck to rest between dives. Dive sites were phenomenal. Beauty of healthy reefs in Komodo Nationa Park was unmatched. Overall, highly recommend Scuba Republic for any kind of diving expeditions in the Komodo area. Ask for team above and you will be guaranteed of a delightful experience! Cheers, -Sai See more..
  4. 5.0 Mount Inerie Peak (97 reviews)
    - High recommendation for a trip with Melon (Melki) as guide
    Mountains
    Mount Inerie Peak image
With the guide Melon (Melki) I was 1 and 1/2 day around Bajawa on his Motorbike. He is one of the best guides, I had until now. He speaks really good English and knows a lot to tell about culture, history and politics of Indonesia. But also he showed me many plants and fruits during our hiking and explained them to me. Because he speaks Indonesia and the Language of the region, it was possible to speak with inhabitants of the old villages with the help of his Translation. There we have been invited in a house for a coffee, because the people there know him well. He is a good motorbike-driver and although in the beginning I was afraid to drive with him, after a while I started to enjoy it. I highly recommend Melon (or Melki) as a guide. See more..

  6. 5.0 Air Dive Alor (78 reviews)
    - A perfect match for memorable diving journey
    Sunday: 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM Scuba & Snorkelling
    Air Dive Alor image
I came to Alor to enjoy well known world class underwater dive site. Luckily, i met air dive team as my company. Undeniably amazing underwater dive site should be enjoyed with passionate, professional and knowledgable buddy and so far airdive is perfectly matched for diving and exploring hidden gem, Alor. Diving and staying with them leave beautiful footprints at my heart. I adore how acionk, maul, irwan, iba, matt, bibi, captain and all airdive family members treat their guest not just as a guest but their long awaited friend who came to visit them. Naturally skillfull on costumer service, they made me feel secured and pleased along my journey. They creatively create memorable moments for me, not just underwater but also during staying with them. And, the best impression is they are not just running diving business but also deeply concerns with nature conservation and local community empowerment. Akui! No doubt to return, again. See more..
  7. 5.0 Dive Alor Dive (50 reviews)
    - Dive Alor with the person who started it!
    Scuba & Snorkelling
    Dive Alor Dive image
Come to Alor expecting pristine Indonesian dive sites, 30m visibility or more, dive depths from 5m to the deep blue, water temps from 17-29C, currents from zero to ripping, from any direction at any time. Worth it? Yes indeed! I dived it first in 2012 and again three weeks ago. Both times I chose Donovan Whitford for his knowledge, expertise, and organization, and I'd do it again. When you can do these gorgeous dives with someone who actually pioneered Alor diving 30 years ago, named many (most) of the dive sites, and can shepherd you through these currents likely better and safer than anyone else, why would you do otherwise? 8. 4.5 Komodo Island (943 reviews)
    - Well, you have to go to Komodo of course…
    Sunday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent < 1 hour National Parks • Nature & Wildlife Areas
    Komodo Island image
You have to go to see Komodo dragons of course… we saw four of them close to the beach. Be prepared for high entrance fee: 400 kRup per person and we were told that the price will substantially increase soon. We went to the island by Kharisma tour, slow boat trip. We don’t like to visit too many places in one day as it is plan for trips by speed boat from Labuan Bajo. We visited also Padar island and snorkeled at the Pink beach. These two spots we loved and would higly recommend. We should snorkel also with mantas but we were not lucky - no mantas today. See more..
  9. 4.5 Komodo National Park (810 reviews)
    - Komodo : The Jurassic Island.
Spent More than 3 hours National Parks • Nature & Wildlife Areas
    Komodo National Park image
I love every single minute I spent in Komodo. We saw 15 to 20 wild Komodo Dragons. Some of them are huge, 10 feet long. We got to see a very active Komodo digging a Bird's nest, a shy baby Komodo hiding behind a tree and many too lazy to move cold-blooded Dragons. It really is an experience of a life time. This place reminds me of Hollywood Monster Animal-themed movies like Jurassic Park, Lake Placid, Sharknado or Anaconda. Thrilling and exciting. Entrance fee is IDR200K for locals and IDR600K for foreigners. I'll be back. See more..
  10. 4.5 Mount Kelimutu (612 reviews)
    - The Magnificent Three Color Lakes, Kelimutu
    Volcanos
    Mount Kelimutu image
I believe that this lake worths to be one of seven wonders of nature. With its periodically unpredictable change of colors, Kelimutu lake has a great view not only in it selfs, but also the view arround it. When i visited this lakes, the colors are navy blue, dark green and black (the local said that they were all pink one month ago,) It's not difficult to get there. From Moni we can rent a motor cycle (IDR 80.000,-) or hire an ojek (public transportation using motor cycle, IDR 100.000,- for returns fare). It takes approximately 30-45 mnts by motor cycle to the parking lot and we have to climb up the hill through the stairs provided for about 1 km to reach the peak and see the scenery. It is suggested for you to visit by sunrise because it will be covered by the cloud when the mid day comes See more..

  12. 4.5 Kelimutu Lake (Tri-Color Lake) (353 reviews)
    - Sunrise view with hike down to Moni
    Bodies of Water
    Kelimutu Lake (Tri-Color Lake) image
Went here for sunrise. Cloudy day but still stunning. Hiked / trekked down avoiding most of main road - slightly different route to guide book. Go down road from car park about 1km then take trail on rhs to Peno village. Steep trail through woods and farmland to village. From there it is a small road until just outside Moni where you pick up a single file trail again. Finish with swim under waterfall to cool off! See more..

  15. 4.5 Wae Rebo Village (295 reviews)
    - Wow - what an absolute priviledge
Sunday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent More than 3 hours Historic Sites
    Wae Rebo Village image
Our driver Stefan (+62 812 4610 7187) was fantastic - I highly recommend his services. He drove us to Manggarai via a warung for lunch and along the beach. The drive was about 5 hours long including the lunch break and we arrived in the local village and met scooters. We took scooters for about 20 mins to get to the base of the mountain and hiked a few kilometres up to the traditional Wae Rebo Village. The hike was steep and hot but evened out a little bit more about half way. It was well worth the sight upon arrival where we met with the chief of the village and then were free to explore. The boys played volleyball with the local men and we stayed in the visitor hut with about 25 people from all over the world. We had rice and eggs for dinner and a slightly different version for breakfast. The experience was amazing and by boys 14 and 11 thoroughly enjoyed the experience also. See more..
  16. 4.5 Kelor Island (186 reviews)
    - Hard to climb hills on island
Sunday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent 1-2 hours Islands
    Kelor Island image
Kelor island is one of island you must visit if you go to labuan bajo, the island is not to big, and if we climb to the top of the hills on it, the view is amazing, we can take a picture with the sea and the hills behind, but we climb on very difficult road, because there is no stair and fence, with about 50 degree high, its take only 15 minute to climb, but its ok since the view from the top is beautifull See more..
  17. 4.5 SO Bajo Night Market (179 reviews)
    - Laros seafood
    Spent 1-2 hours Farmers Markets
    SO Bajo Night Market image
My driver recommended this place. We got 2 fish, 2 plates of prawns. The fish was 80k each and the prawn was 170k. Rice was 20k i think, cant remember exactly. Food was great, although the fish were slightly burnt by the charcoal but still tasted great. It was too much food for 2 of us and driver got some to take away home to his family. Payment - well we have to use card to purchase. I went to the other stall and purchase food - without using card cos (temporary system problem) and i pay exactly the amount offered. With the card, i have to pay additional 10% for tax i think. So it's actually cheaper paying cash but the tenant must insist on payment with cards (tax contribution) than receiving cash. Anyway they'll refund all your remaining balance and card deposit, so nothing to worry there. Btw, try the fresh fruit juice stall. Its amazing! Fresh food, a little bit pricey. See more..
  18. 4.5 Koka Beach (171 reviews)
    - The best beach in Flores
Spent More than 3 hours Beaches
    Koka Beach image
Koka beach is a bit rough to get to and the area is quite simple but the beach itself is amazing. Powdery soft white sand, impressive jungle hillsides that look a bit like a cross between Nusa Penida and Ora Beach in the Malluku's on a slightly less grand scale. This is one stop on a trans-Flores itinerary that is well worth making! Climb up the hill between the two beaches for amazing views. See more..
  19. 4.5 Weekuri Lake (159 reviews)
    - Swim at the lagoon with the locals!
Spent 1-2 hours Bodies of Water
    Weekuri Lake image
I brought 3 kids (4,6 and 9 years) for just a visit as tourist, apparently my kids love the lagoon. Instead of only photo taking, we spent 5 hours here to enjoy and swim with the locals. Amazing torquise color of the water, friendly local kids, breathtaking views Please note when you go with family, please use local driver + guide to save your time of journey. The access to every spot is not that easy to reach. See more..

    - Unique underground cave
    Caverns & Caves
    Rangko Cave image
The starting point is from a Harbour (please pick Dermaga Cinta) to go to the Rangko Cave. The trip is about 10 min. Just go and ask the fisherman or the boat owner! If you go through a third party person (calo), you will be charged double. I got Mr. Jainudin (picture attached) and he is so nice. If you're 2 person, the fee will be 100k/person. If you're are 5 persons, it will be total 350k. More persons will be cheaper each. The cave is unique. We need to walk down and we can swim. Recommended if you want to see a different experience in Bajo. See more..

    - Awesome for snorkeling too

    Taka Makassar Island image
When we went, the currents were fairly strong but if you're a good swimmer AND wear a life jacket, you can float with the current and swim a bit against it and snorkelled for more than an hour, from about a half mile away swimming toward this makassar island. Some people see huge manta rays, we didn't see any, as it's not in season; but still we saw gorgeous coral, a dozen huge sea turtles, and literally thousands of fish. Totally recommended! See more..

  29. 4.5 Mount Egon (51 reviews)
    - Difficult but rewarding
    Mountains
    Mount Egon image
We climbed Mt Egon on 4 September. We are aged 61 and 68 and fit, but only because of walking/trekking and not by working out at a gym or any other activity. The climb was one of our hardest due to the loose gravel and rock which much of the track is composed of. It is steep and slippery both going up and coming down. We trekked slowly and at our own pace and made the round trip in around 5 1/2 hours with about 1/2 hour at the summit. We started the climb about 7.00 am which was probably the latest one should start. On the way up there was plenty of shade and a pleasant breeze and it is very windy at the top.It was however quite hot descending (although there was still a breeze for part of the way). We admire anyone who did the climb at night, but we would personally not advise it as finding a safe, secure footing was not always easy. We had a local guide (cost 200,000 rupiah) plus a lift to the top of the access road (400,000 rupiah) organised through our accommodation in Maumere. Although we found it tough, it was very worthwhile as the crater has active vents and the views are spectacular. If we can make it at our age, anyone with a reasonable level of fitness and a degree of determination can make it. Some advice: take more water than you think you will need: take sunscreen; cut your toenails! Your toes take a hammering on the descent - I am probably going lose two toenails! See more..
  30. 4.5 Love Hill (46 reviews)
    - Breathtaking View
Spent 1-2 hours Mountains • Hiking Trails
    Love Hill image
As far as I know, this place has various different names which are love hill (bukit cinta), Sylvia hill (bukit sylvia), and teletubbies hill (bukit teletubbies). Despite the name differences, this place is absolutely amazing with its breathtaking view. I went there before the sunset and I had a beautiful sunset view. I love the scenery from the top of the hill and the golden hour of the sunset. The hill itself was not really hard to hike (not too steep), but please stay be careful since the dirt could be slippery. This one is absolutely one of the best place to enjoy sunset in Labuan Bajo in my opinion. See more..
