CAMPING ON THE DESERTED 17 ISLANDS OF ISLAND MARINE PARK!

SEE MY OTHER POST of the amazing trip of camping on the deserted islands! As I get many questions regarding how to contact Rian (as his number is blocked due to privacy reasons). Lets try again. Me and my boyfriend went back in October 2019 to do the trip again! It was still amazing!!

CAMPING ON THE DESERTED 17 ISLANDS OF ISLAND MARINE PARK!
I almost did not wanted to post this as it was so special! But here we go, because you should do this to, no doubt and therfore I am sharing it. Spread the love! You Always wanted to camp under the most beautiful stars? See lightend plankton, white beaches, clear blue sea, starfish and coral and go snorkeling, the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets, manta's rays swimming around the islands, seashells allover as big as you have never seen them before and eating fresh fish / rice and vegetables every lunch and diner? Without any other tourist? It is possible and I did it. I drove from airpot Ende (where I met Ryan before) on a scooter to Riung (3 hours) and then we got the boat from Riung to the 17 Islands for a 3 days, 2 night trip. The islands are deserted (only a few fishing boats passing by), I was there in March 2018 and it was one of the best experiences of my life! So amazing beautiful and in this low season I only paid 1,2 milion (about 70 euro). This includes everything, sleeping in the tent, food every day, the boat with captain and guide Ryan. Ryan is a perfect guide and a great guy! He is always smiling! (his number is below) Just make sure to be clear on things to agree on up front. -If you are by yourself, you probably prefer to sleep in you own tent, so make sure he brings 2. -Make sure to tick off the price up front. -Make sure to check what is included in the price. But this is anywhere in Indonesia, so no exception. I did this trip all by myself with the 2 men and I was completely safe! ** When you are on the islands please keep them clean and help to collect some washed ashore plastic. ** Island love!

great day snorkelling with barely another person in site
Had a great day snorkelling around 17 Islands. Booked a boat for the day for the two of us for 1.2m, with lunch. Probably could have got it slightly cheaper but we were happy with the price. The water is clean and clear and the snorkelling was great. First stop, right above a shelf. The water is teeming with fish and brightly coloured coral. Stopped on one of the islands where we enjoyed BBQ fish, lots of salad and a particularly good eggplant dish. Stayed for a few hours and enjoyed the tranquility, wandered along the beach and had another snorkel. Clean, white sand and only one other boat on the island. Third stop, another island. The water was a bit murky and there was a bit of a rip, so we went to a sheltered part and the boys on the boat pointed to the best place to snorkel. As we enter the water we see lots of starfish and once out a bit we find the shelf, lots of fish and again brightly coloured coral. It was a great day which I would love to do again
