impressive old Church with an unique style of architecture, built in 12 century. You have never seen such a round Church before. Make sure to walk up to the 2nd and 3rd level , where u will have a breath-taking view of the area. And the Garden shop behind the Church with decroration , hand-made soaps, glas and X’mas decro is also worth a visit .See more..
4.5Dueodde Beach(235 reviews) - The best beach on Bornholm Spent < 1 hour Beaches
Dueodde is easily the best beach on Bornholm. This is because it is possible to find cleaner water (with less algae) by walking a little to the west. The sand is very thin, and the beach is very long, making it easy to find a good spot even in a crowded (sunny) day. The water is less cold than you would expect, probably because the water is quite shallow on a long distance.See more..
Parking is easy to find at the Art Museum, there are 2 trails on either side of the Museum down to the coast. The trails go north and south for a few kms depending on how energetic you feel. There are plenty of staircases to climb down into several rocky bays (and back up!). There is a boat the travels from Gudhjem along the coast in the season and docks in one of the bays, so you could take the boat and walk the trail back one way or the other way around. The timetable for the boat is signposted at the lookout point. It was raining and the path was wet and muddy and there are no guardrails in some areas, so felt somewhat unsafe. Not for people with mobility issues or young kids. Otherwise very picturesque and something not to be missed. The water is crystal clear and the views are stunning.See more..
At first, we wanted to see the birds show exclusively. Then we decided to see all the shows they had, and it was a very interesting and inspiring experience. We asked if the shows would be in translated in English too, and all the staff had a great attitude towards us, despite being the only non-Danish customers. During the show, one of the birds didn't want to fly around, and the team decided to let it be, and not force it: that really shows the approach these people have with the animals, which are not treated as a circus attraction. Animals first, visitors second, and that's very fair enough.See more..
4.0Ekkodalen(166 reviews) - We found the “echo”! Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Nature & Wildlife Areas
We found the “echo” – it was easy – just follow the sign from the parking lot saying “best echo 20 m” :o) The nature here is beautiful and we had some nice climbs and views. While here we also visited Rytterknægten (the highest point at Bornholm, 162 m) and the tower – the stairs at the top of the tower is scary – but the view is worth the struggle :o) But visit Ekkodalen for the “echo” and a nice lunch at Restaurant Ekkodalhuset – if you want fantastic hikes, I’ll recommend the Paradisbakkerne.See more..

We took the 3 hour blue walk from the Parking lot at Klintebygård. We are not used to trekking tours but are so happy that we did this tour in the most fantastic nature I have ever seen in Denmark. We found a really nice spot about 30-45 min after starting where we had our lunch on a big clip overviewing a lake in the middle of fantastic forest fauna. The blue trip brings you through a lot of different nature which makes it really interesting. We would recommend everyone who has the fysics for it to do this tour! Wear good shoes :)See more..

4.5Bornholm Art Museum(69 reviews) - A showcase of Bornholm's Art Life Spent 1-2 hours Art Museums
The museum has a wonderful white on white architectural design and spacious outdoor garden for sculpture display. Beside looking at the planting and craft from Danish Master (Oluf Host, Karl Isakson...) you would be amazed by the artistic scenery from the windows that look like great paintings. 3-story of exhibits to explore. There are also cafe and museum shop. After viewing the museum's excellent collections, I would strongly recommend that you take a slow walk down to the Sanctuary Cliffs to experience the scenic yet dramatic rock formation. Which will take you an additional half an hour to one hour, depending on your level of fitness. It is totally worth it! See more..
4.0Dondalen(62 reviews) - Great place, bit difficult to find Valleys
This site took us some time to find. Coming from the direction of Gudhjem there is sign for a picnic area combined with a sign VANDFALL. It's right before you reach the lowest part of the Dondalen valley in the road. That's the place to be. It's a ten minute walk to the waterfall, it's not signposted , just keep walking strait on. The waterfall and the woods are amazing. Nice and tranquil. We visited in June and it was not very crowded. See more..
Beautiful forest with tracks and paths all round and across. The tracks are colour coded for different themes. You can choose a hillside walk or walk into the open valley and of course just remain in the thicket of trees in the wonderful woods. Gorgeous old trees and new offsprings, moist moss and mysterious grounds. We came in a very hot day and the woods gave us plenty shade and comfort to track for an hour and half, something which would have been too hard in open fields in 30 degrees Celsius.See more..
4.5Bornholms Tekniske Samling(56 reviews) - Something for everyone Wednesday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Speciality Museums
Museum that has got it all. Visited for the first time 2 years ago, this time brought our 3-year-old which loved the place as one might try sitting in the military plane or tractors that they've got. Our son spoke of the place the rest of the week on Bornholm so had to go back for a second visit during our stay. But even grownups find things to look at, the museum has got everything from old toilets to collections of lighters, pens and cups. There is an old hair salon, a room with old radios and a house with old cooking tools and toys. Could go on forever, but if on Bornholm just pop in - you won't be disappointed!See more..
4.5Oluf Host Museet(50 reviews) - Great place Speciality Museums

4.0Bornholmertaarnet(49 reviews) - Beautiful view and very interesting visit and museum Spent 1-2 hours Military Museums • Speciality Museums • History Museums
The visit to the tower and museum were one of the main highlights of our week on Bornholm. I really liked the visit (server room, control room, underground service tunnel...) and the photos of the two world wars on the island, and most of all I enjoyed climbing the tower. I really recommend to climb with the stairs, and to take the lift back down. The view from the top is great, even though the tower is not that high. And the nice thing is, the tower and museum are open till quite late, 9 pm.See more..

4.0Nylars Kirke(46 reviews) - Lovely setting for a 12th Century round church. Churches & Cathedrals
Some believe that Nylars Church is the best preserved round church on Bornholm. Having only seen this and Nyker church, this certainly has the better frescoes on the central pillar. It is believed to have been built about 1165 and was dedicated to St. Nicholas (Nilaus in Danish.) The walls are so massive (2 meters thick) they are not reinforced with buttresses. There are two rune stones in the porch. The 13th Century frescoes on the central pillar are said to be the oldest on Bornholm. The font is of Gotland limestone. The belfry is a later and separate addition.See more..
Walk to beach is worth it in itself. Wooded area transforms into white sand dunes. Beach was clean and spacious, water warm and shallow, great for kids. Short walk to nice cafes and ice cream shops. Easy bus ride between here and other nearby spots (Balka, Nexo, Svaneke).See more..

4.0Snogebaek Havn(33 reviews) - Snogebæk: great place to do nothing Piers & Boardwalks
Small, lovely, quaint, easy going, friendly tiny town. And the town’s name is kind of funny, too. Great place to do nothing. Nice places to eat. And then just a quick trip on your bicycle to Balke beach. Must see: the Museum "Havets Synner" (Sins of the Sea, something like that). Possibly the world´s smallest museum. Collection of memorabilia from Snogebæk, family photos and trinkets and such.See more..

4.0Torvehal Bornholm(28 reviews) - Foodhall with honest local products and great sandwiches. Farmers Markets
After somebody told us about this place we planned a visit to this foodhall. The first in it's kind on Bornholm and part of the new vibe here. It's still small, work in progress. But the choice of products is excellent. And there is also a yard with tables where you can eat and drink. Check out the modern style grilled cheese sandwiches, delicious!See more..

4.5Bornholms Automobilmuseum(23 reviews) - Private collection, and an excellent one it is. Speciality Museums
First of all, they have an own hall for Eastern European cars. There is a Tatra 603-2 (worth the visit alone), a FSO Syrena, a Wartburg and a Lada. Plus in the main hall there is a Saab Sonett III, this is so rear to see. The collection isn't big, but it's well maintained and a good display. I wished that it was more info on every car, but that's what Wikipedia is for, right? I do love car museums. This was nice.See more..
Spent a few hours at the small basic museum, where photos and videos showed how granite is mined and treated. The few minutes the guide was with us were good - and the 7-year old had a blast hammering her name (luckily only 3 letters...) in the stone. I wouldn't bother coming back.See more..
4.0Bornholms Forsvarsmuseum(22 reviews) - Nice little museum Wednesday: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Military Museums

4.5Ny Kirke(18 reviews) - Round Church Churches & Cathedrals
Directly I read about this church, I wanted to see it. When I got there I was compeletly overwhelmed by its charm and would without hesitation recommend a visit to anyone. i think that even a child would remember it for ever. The interior was most unusual with beautiful wall paintings and rune stones even older than the church which dates back to c. 1150. At that time, without its conical roof, it doubled as a physical refuge and look-out for pirates.See more..
4.5Svaneke Bolcher(16 reviews) - Fascinating “bolche” production Wednesday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent < 1 hour Speciality & Gift Shops
We loved that you can follow the production of the “bolcher” (hard boiled sweets) and that the “bolche-makers” inform about the production. After the production you’re offered to taste - our kids (aged 8 and 10) really enjoyed the place and we came two days and reached to see 3-4 different “bolche productions” :) In the next-door shop they had all the different tastes that you could imagine... we bought among others some with small pictures in – amazing that that is at all possible! The lady in the store was really sweet too :)See more..
