Bornholms Automobilmuseum, Bornholm, Denmark

4.5 (23 reviews) Spent Ranking #5 in Akirkeby Speciality Museums

Private collection, and an excellent one it is.

First of all, they have an own hall for Eastern European cars. There is a Tatra 603-2 (worth the visit alone), a FSO Syrena, a Wartburg and a Lada. Plus in the main hall there is a Saab Sonett III, this is so rear to see. The collection isn't big, but it's well maintained and a good display. I wished that it was more info on every car, but that's what Wikipedia is for, right? I do love car museums. This was nice.

Don't let the poor web-site scare you from visiting this place
Not the most impressive selection of cars I've seen, but a lot of effort has been put into the presentation of the cars. The main focus seems to be the everyday cars of the Bornholmers from approx. the 1930s and up, including the danish Kewet EV. The museum also exhitbits other old equipment, such as old TVs, radios, cameras, road signs, workshop equipment and toys.
