This experience was pure art, soul, culture and excitement. I can still feel the emotions I had while watching the Rumba performance they did for us. There was live art, dance, music and fire all happening at the same time. Pleasure for the eyes ears and soul. After the performance we were invited to participate in a fun Rumba dance lessons. Overall this is absolutely a memory that will forever be engraved in my memory. Absolutely amazing. I wish Galeria Santiago Hermes and his staff and artist an amazing future. You can see the true passion they have and cannot help but talk highly of them all. A must if you can meet him, stop by his gallery or watch his performances. You will not regret it. See more..

What an amazing place! Is stunning, the photos can do it justice. We were lucky to arrange a shared taxi from Cienfuegos to Trinidad with a stopover here, was the best decision! We spent 2 hours there, entrance fee is 240 pesos per person (we paid in pesos, no one said anything like I've seen in previous comments). They have good facilities, restaurant and bathrooms. Then there's a hike up the mountain where you stop in different levels of the waterfalls to swim absolutely stunning! There's also a viewpoint at the top! I just wished people were better at keeping their rubbish... See more..

    Theaters
    Teatro Terry image
Came here as part of a guided tour- thank you to Anais!! We were blown away by the theatre. It’s truly like stepping back into time. It’s just as it was. Having been built as a legacy of a local businessman (of Irish descent). It’s free to wander around. There is a cafe bar at the side (well worth a visit- lots of locals in drinking coffee and rum). Little gift shop too. Do pay a visit. It’s having some restoration done but it will ensure the theatre remains relevant and historically intact for the next generation. See more..
  29. 4.0 Jardín Botanico de Cienfuegos (328 reviews)
    - Different
Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Gardens
    Jardín Botanico de Cienfuegos image
The Botanical Garden of Cienfuegos is considered one of the richest in the Americas because of the richness of its collections. We find it located in areas surrounding the current Pepito Tey Central, about 15 km from the city of Cienfuegos, the Pearl of the South, on the road that leads to Villa de Trinidad. It is said that in this jewel of Cuban greenness science comes to meet visitors in the form of botanical families, with genera and varied species. It is worth noting that it is the only institution of its kind that holds the category of National Monument in the country. The Botanical Garden of Cienfuegos is unique because of the picturesqueness of its setting and the peculiarities of its surroundings. It shows in its 97 hectares of surface, enormous jagueyes, legumes and bamboos, as well as an extraordinary collection of palms that is considered one of the ten most complete and important of America and the world. 30. 4.0 Jagua Castle (228 reviews)
    - Quite a Hike!
    Castles
    Jagua Castle image
We took the little boat to get here. The castle is in an area without any transportation. It was a bit of a hike for my husband who has Parkinson's. He chose not to hike up the stairs. I did and it was a great view but strenuous without hand rails. The guide found an accessible route into the castle, sparing me the climb up or down very narrow stairs. Interesting area as most of the villagers fish for a living or work at the hotel across the bay. See more..
