The Natural History Museum, Postal Museum, Tampere 1918 Exhibition, Mineral Museum, The Finnish Museum of Games, The Hockey Hall of Fame Finland, and many changing exhibitions... 13 eur for adults and 6 eur for kids (7-17). This small museum is located in the Finlayson factory area. On a rainy day, it was easy to combine it with the Labour Museum Werstas. They are located next to each other. So I do not know a lot about the moomin, but the atmosphere and how the rooms look like is great. It's great for children, there is a workshop too, where you can make your own little creatures. It is open from 12-16, unfortunately this doesn't say anywhere outside the museum, me and my daughter waited one hour that it opens. So this is valueable to know if you are interested in crafting little things.See more..

For railway enthusiasts the Railway Museum at Akaa-Toijala (located south of Tampere on the E12 Tampere-Helsinki motorway) is a gem. It dates from 1876 as the junction and depot for the Hämeenlinna-Turku-Tampere rail route. It is activity maintained by railway enthusiasts. The museum features an exterior turntable for the manoeuvre of locomotives into and out of a semi-circular engine shed. The shed houses steam engines, carriages, railway maintenance vehicles and other railway memorabilia. This museum is located at 3rd floor of old plant building. It is very close to Valkeakoski center at channel embarkment. The museum contains many things connected with Finnish and world football (soccer). Photos, stamps, prises, balls and football forms are joined here in few rooms.
