I took at look at this place last August and people were coming out from it and having a nice cold swim in the lake. It was cold weather then and i just manged to pop my feet in. I was there again this February as I had to see for myself that people go from the sauna and into the lake through an ice hole...and yes they do. Probably the Finnish people do not find this strange at all, but I was wrapped up in loads of layers and would not even contemplate it! However, it was a Saturday afternoon and was "buzzing " with willing customers, there was a roaring trade and the car park was full. Not for me, but very attractive for many. A really cool place to visit even if only to spectate. See more..
