This is also a nice church to visit in Tampere. It inspires a clear, warm crurch, no decor almost inside, but very nice ceiling.See more..
4.5Finlayson Church(43 reviews) - Charming small red-brick church Spent < 1 hour Churches & Cathedrals
This Evangelist-Lutheran church built in Gothic Revival style is located in the Finlayson industrial area. It was built in 1879 as the church of the Finlayson cotton factory, where the factory workers could practice religion. The church has also served as the “Children’s Cathedral” since 1996. Because of its central location, small size, and pleasant architecture, the church is one of the most popular wedding churches in Tampere. On our visit, the church was closed. So we couldn't see the interior.See more..
Tyrvään Pyhän Olavin kirkko is a very beautiful medieval stone church, built on a scenic location by the lake according to typical Finnish church architecture of the middle ages. However, what makes it completely unique is the interior and the story; the church was burnt to the ground in the 1990’s – and re-built by the community by hand. Instead of setting up replicas of the destroyed interior, two contemporary artists were given the task of re-creating medieval church paintings in contemporary style, but with medieval motifs and purpose. The interior paintings make this church a unique masterpiece. PRO TIP: In the summer season, bring a picnic and enjoy the lovely location of the church. You can also arrive by boat. PRO TIP2: There are a lot of other historic and interesting things to see and do in Sastamala!See more..
4.5Kalevan Church(20 reviews) - Memorable Church Spent 1-2 hours Religious Sites • Churches & Cathedrals
The Church is beautifully located on a hill 10-15 walk from the city center. The original architecture makes it anything different, but immediately allows you to recognize the religious building. Be sure to look at least outside, and enter, if your schedule allows - the Church is open to the public until 18 hours.See more..

4.5Palkaneen Kirkko(2 reviews) - A tribute to the fallen Hero's this place touched my heart. Spent < 1 hour Historic Sites • Churches & Cathedrals
We stopped here and it was just starting to snow, I was walking around and admiring the Church's architecture and all the graves.I realized it was for the hero's that had died in past wars. It is a place that touches your heart no matter where you come from in the world. I did not go into the church but just looking and reading the graves makes you realize what price was paid for our freedom.See more..
4.5Kangasalan Kirkko(2 reviews) - Charming church and place Religious Sites • Churches & Cathedrals
There’s not that much to see in Kangasala but it’s worthwhile to stop and walk around the church. The building itself is remarkable thanks to its roof made of wooden tiles. Surrounded by a cemetery, including a military section dedicated to WW II, with simple gravestones in the grass and high trees, it’s a nice and peaceful place. See more..
5.0Sastamalan Pyhan Marian Kirkko(2 reviews) - A very beautiful medieval church by the lake Spent 1-2 hours Cemeteries • Churches & Cathedrals
The most famous medieval church of the region is of course the church of St.Olav. However, a short distance from it is an even older and a much larger medieval church, also on a uniquely beautiful spot by the lake. This church is open every day during the summer. It is quiet and beautiful there, and the drive to the church takes you through narrow and pretty village road.See more..
4.0Mantta Church(1 review) - Mäntässä ollessa piipahda täälläkin - While in Mänttä stop by Spent < 1 hour Churches & Cathedrals
Mäntän kirkkoon kannattaa poiketa, jos pyörähtää Mäntän keskustassa tai Gustaf-museossa. Kirkon on rakennuttanut G.A. Serlachius Oy omalla kustannuksellaan ja se on valmistunut 1920-luvulla. Kirkossa on suhteellisen paljon taidetta mm. Erik O.W. You should visit Mänttä Church if you visit the center of Mänttä or the Gustaf Museum. The church was built by G.A. Serlachius Ltd at its own expense and was completed in the 1920s. The church has a relatively large amount of art, e.g. Erik O.W. Ehrstörm's stained glass and Alvar Cawé's altarpiece and stained glass. According to the guide, local people have been used as models for the painting depicting Mary and the child Jesus, and it is a Mänttä interpretation of the Christmas gospel. The church also has more than 30 wooden sculptures depicting ecclesiastical life, biblical events and the life and work of ordinary Finnish people. The church is open every day until the end of July: weekdays from 11 am to 4.30 pm and Sat-Sun from 11 am to 3 pm. There was a guide.See more..
Vuonna 1958 palaneen kirkon tilalle valmistui 1961 Kaarikirkko jonka olivat suunnitelleet Kaija ja Heikki Siren ja sitä pidetään yhtenä sotien jälkeisen kirkkoarkkitehtuurin merkkiteoksista. Kirkko edustaa modernia tyylisuuntaa ja on sisätiloiltaa varsin pelkistetty, luonnonvalo luo hyvän tunnelman tilaan johon mahtuu 800 henkeä. Puinen kellotapuli on vuodelta 1780.See more..
