Traffic jam is a nightmare in cameron highlight.

We only enjoyed the weather and even our kids age 10 and 13 don't feel like going back again. The foods there is limited and their farm experience is not that fantastic and abit expensive compared to other countries we went before. There is only 1 route going up or down to those places of interest and we waste alot of timing just to travel from 1 place to another place. A normal 10 mins drive will have to be about 1 hr if there is a jam so better to avoid peak period.

    Definitely worth a visit
Without doubt, this is a beautiful area of Malaysia and worth the prolonged and winding road trip. There's some nice accommodation (we stayed at the rather nice Zenith Hotel) although the town where we stayed - Tanah Rata - caters mainly for the backpacker's youth market, as the many eateries will testify. However, we found the food to be quite acceptable and relatively inexpensive. I do have one issue I'd like to air particularly if the local tourism bosses are watching, and that is in regard to the tracks which visitors are supposed to be able to use to discover the local hillsides and extensive woodlands. It's an activity which should offer tourists a unique perspective of the area. However, we (and several other tourists we met on our attempted trek) were completely bamboozled due to a total lack of signposting and badly maintained paths. We had to turn back after two hours in frustration, as there were no directions for the continuation of the path we were on. Whilst I fully appreciate that the 'tourism disaster' caused by Covid and the subsequent loss of any tourist revenue for that period has left the local authorities with little money to spend on sorting their signage and upkeep budgets, the area does seem to be recovering and is really quite busy. So surely a small amount of investment in helping visitors use the paths by installing simple signs and clearing pathways, will pay huge dividends.
