4.0Safari Park Open Zoo(425 reviews) - Kanchanaburi Safari World Thursday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Nature & Wildlife Areas • Zoos
Nice day trip to explore out from Bangkok. The open safari concept is fun with the animal feeding and we have fabulous photo time and close contact with the animals. Brought along my 2 teenagers kids and they totally enjoyed the experience. I chartered a private transport from Bangkok to the safari as the ride takes around s 3 hours plus (includes jam). Driver was nice and familiar with the area which speak proper English.See more..
4.5Elephant Haven(275 reviews) - No Riding Here….The Elephants Direct your Day Spent More than 3 hours Nature & Wildlife Areas
We had a great experience at Elephant Haven. Patrick and Pook were excellent guides and representatives of the haven. There are now 6 elephants on site as 2 passed away in the spring. We learned a great deal about elephant lifestyle and habitats. The elephants were happy and content…we spent the day preparing their food, feeding the elephants (they eat 10% of their body weight every day), taking them on a walk through the jungle area, watching them swim, waiting patiently while they ate trees and bushes, (elephants eat 20 out of 24 hours), taking them back to the camp while we had our lunch (which was varied and good), then walked with the elephants again to the mud pool where they played in the mud, and finally back to the River again where we got to swim with the elephants. Shower facilities are on site so visitors can clean-up before hitting the road. All in all, it was a fantastic experience. Thank you Elephant Haven!See more..
By far, ther best experience of our trip. There are no words to describe this experience. First we rode the elephants for quiet some time,(it was not just a lap around the pen kind of a ride). After, we played in the river with the elephant and I swear (and everyone that has looked at our pictures agreed) that the elephant was actually smiling when he would throw water at us....just unforgetable...See more..
3.0Wangpo Elephant Camp(151 reviews) - Just another elephant camp Nature & Wildlife Areas
had gone on an Private excursion to visit the Bridge over River Kwai and the elephant camp was never a part of the trip, but since we were travelling with Children the tour guide insisted we go there as it was close by so as the children could get an elephant ride basically the Tour guide gets a commission I guess as we were the only people at the Deserted Elephant camp the elephants were in good shape and looked healthy but the surroundings need to be maintained as it was all littered with elephant Dung with all flies around they take candid photos during the ride which are then sold but they fail to understand that every body needs to pose so they can get a cool Pic . My kids pic was a disaster as the faces were not clear advise you to go if you have teen age childrenSee more..
4.0Saiyok Elephant Park(108 reviews) - Pointless, but funny elephant cleaning Nature & Wildlife Areas
The place tries to be nice to the animals so it has canceled commercial shows and rides on the elephants, unlike some other elephant parks. In this case, you can clean the elephant using soap and brush. Clothes and shoes that you can use for bathing are also provided. What is missing a little is proper place where to change the clothes. I use bathroom that is few meters away from the entrance to the river so I needed to rush to make it on time with my group. Elephants are cute. The whole bathing thing is just a show for tourists and the elephants threw some sand from river's side on themselves right after bathing. Another activity done with the elephants is feeding. There were buckets with watermelon that you can give to the elephant - he will grab the watermelon with his trunk and eat it.See more..

I was a bit pessimistic at first but enjoyed it immensely. the local food looked adventurous but I stuck with different rice dishes. I bought a statue to warn away bad spirits as a memento. we are going to go back in a few years to see whats changed.See more..

5.0Elephant Nature Park(34 reviews) - Best ethical elephant experience in Thai Spent More than 3 hours Nature & Wildlife Areas
My boyfriend and I visited this rescue center on 16-17 March 2016 and it was amazing! Great team that really loves elephants and knows everything about them. Elephants are free, without any chains or ropes, they are just walking and eating and visitors can walk and bath / feed them. It was unforgettable experience! We were here 2 days and have delicious vegan food especially for us (by default all food is vegetarian). Many thanx to people who take care about elephants in Thailand! And yes, don't ride and don't go to cruel shows with animals, it's terrible ;(See more..
