   Small statue at the end of the main street in Bogense. See it if you are in town but don't waste petrol driving there. The statue is 56 cm high and the plinth is 2 m. The statue was revealed in March 1934. It is a copy of the same statue in Brussels from 1619. At the time it was considered quite daring to put up the statue of a peeing boy. At the time it became something of a sensation in Denmark and quite a tourist attraction. These days the statue seems very small. Changing times have deminished the effect of the small statue.    Beautiful and interesting place. A kick of history .. amazing how this stone was engraved 1000 years ago and is still standing here among us. Several stones in the arrangement. The Place is ideal for a picknick with a fireplace, A "house" to eat inside if bad weather. Very nice and clean toilet facilities. See more..

   The Amanda Statue is situated in a small square near the southern side of Langebro, a bridge leading to the town of Kerteminde. The statue was made in 1954 by sculptor Robert Lund Jensen and imagines a young fishing girl. It is made of granite and has become a landmark symbolizing the town. The artist’s model for the statue was a local girl, who suffered an unfortunate life and death at the age of only 40. In my opinion the best time to visit is around sunset. See more..
