Hans Christian Andersen! Son of Odense, Denmark!
Hans Christian Andersen... Son of Odense, Denmark... and National Hero!! It was a delight to see Hans Christian Andersen remembered as larger than life with this statue/sculpture. The people I met in Odense were quite proud of their historical author and son of Odense. As rightfully they should be.

time travel to my childhood
I've always been a fan of Andersen's stories and there you walk along the narrow streets of the old town of Odense - His place. Worth visiting following the route (mind your steps - the signs are on the cobblestones).
