Visit the restored renaissance castle Harridslevgaard 3km from Bogense, which offers you an exciting cultural experience. The castle is mentioned back to King Valdemar's cadaster of 1231. We encountered this palace on our way to Svendborg on the Marguerite route and we were stunned! It looks very nice. We had a look at the park surrounding it too, but didn't stop too long. Therefore, I cannot tell if the visit inside the palace is allowed or not. The park is surely public though.See more..
I was there for Easter as they had stands and an Easter market at the castle. I had asked my family to come along, so we were 8 people, but I think we were all a bit dissappointed. I had imagined it to be some kind of colourful outdoor food-market with lashings of cheeses, beers, different types of hot food to enjoy while kids went soft in their eyes from looking at lambs and small chickens running around. But it seemed to be a mishmash of local artists selling their art and it also including some healing and I could even have my BMI meassured, which wasn't really what I was looking for as I came hungry to my imaginary food-market and was looking for food. To be fair, there was a nice farmer-hotdog on the outdoor bbq and I could get some basic coffee and cake in the downstairs kitchen which had had some chairs and tables put in for the occasion. We also found some nuts, almonds and honey. All in all I think it wasn't that professionally prepared and I wish it had more "castle-standard". I think I might go again some time though. Sandholt er en af Fyns gamle store godser med rødder langt tilbage. Det ligger smukt ved en sø, og man omkring slottet se at der har været voldgrave. Til godset hører også en dejlig park og en smuk ladegård i bindingsværk. Stedet er meget velholdt, og det er bestemt en lille omvej værd, når man kører ruten Odense-Faaborg. Arreskov is een oud herenhuis, van oorsprong een renaissance burcht, uit 1210. Het slot ligt aan de oevers van het grootste meer van Funen, Arreskov Sø. Het slot is niet open voor bezichtiging maar het is prachtig om van buitenaf te bekijken.Zoals bij de meeste kasteeltjes heb je ook hier weer veel grote boerderijen er omheen.See more..
