There is maybe close to 100 wild horses here. We were lucky to see really many this day. The horses and the nature is synergistic. Basically the horses manage themselves without human interpherence, and in return they keep the nature free of trees, and make it possible for a lot of plants to grow here. Only if a horse gets ill, or if a winter is very cold and food gets covered for to long with ice and snow, there will be some help to the horses. The race is called Exmoor, and a grown up horse is maybe around 130 cm high.See more..

In the wheelhouse you can listen to the sounds of Little belt. If you stay for a bit, you might even hear the sound of porpoises hunting. The clicks you can hear is recorded by an underwater hydrophone that is located near a reef. If you look closely at the water you might even encounter one of these amazing animals. The reef extends between the two yellow buoys, you can go scuba diving here and see the hydrophone placed at the bottom.See more..

Driving all along the Slipchavensvey to the last point but we could not further as it's a private area of the Navy. It was raining very hard so we only stayed in the car and trying to catch the glimpse of birds and then driving back to the Østerø lake. It's quite green also swampy area with red plants.
