Most of the tourists come to the old town for the dozens of clubs, bars and restaurants. But there are also a number of old buildings, with beautiful architecture. We visited here as part of an organised walking tour. If you’re looking at the front of the building from the park, then there’s an entrance on the right hand side, just down the side street. For 10 lei you can go in when there isn’t a performance on to look at the grand staircases and up into the auditorium itself. The decoration is well worth the entry cost, particularly if you can’t see a show but still want to check the building out.See more..
3.5Triumph Arch (Arcul de Triumf)(802 reviews) - A large proud landmark for everyone to enjoy! Wednesday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Points of Interest & Landmarks • Monuments & Statues
Far too much attention comparing this Romanian landmark with the Paris icon. There are many similar arches around the world in other countries and they are all built beautifully and architecturally interesting. The importance is that each one is historic to each country and when they were built, they were built with care and pride. As with all the others, this one in Bucharest is a proud landmark to the Romanian people and enjoyable to see and appreciate. I like large landmarks like this one, very helpful toward getting to know your way around the busy city. This one is on a very busy traffic area, many people get to catch a glimpse to and from.See more..
Long story short: the highlight of my trip to Bucharest. The fountains are stunninggggg and if you visit on weekends, there’s a music show. Luckily, my hotel was so close, so I came here several times a day to see them. Highly recommended!See more..

This street is filled with architectural beauties and this this particular building made me stop one day whilst passing by to ask what it is. I was told it was a bank, couldn't believe such a beauty is a bank. It is really an awesome and intricate masterpiece. I am not sure if it's currently still a bank. A definite must-see.See more..

4.5Carol Park(343 reviews) - Beautiful park Points of Interest & Landmarks • Parks
This is the third time that I have visited Carol Park. It's a beautiful park and you can get plenty of exercise walking around. During this visit it was still considered winter and most of the trees bare. During the spring and summer the park is absolutely gorgeous with many activities. The monument is absolutely stunning. There are always guards there to protect the tomb. See the attached photos. Carol Park is one of many parks in Bucharest and one of my favorites. Check it out.See more..
