Unfortunately I did not get to see a production here but did get to view the inside. The inside is pretty much what you expect, theater style, red velvet and opera boxes lining the upper level. This is always stately, striking and moving. This is however just one of the four National Romanian Opera Houses. There is a huge green space in front, close to the road is a statue of George Enescu, conductor of the first production. Directly across from the steps is a statue of George Stephanescu the founder of the first Romanian Opera Company.See more..
